Wheelbarrow fire pit { Patio heater, BBQ, Grill }
DIY wheelbarrow fire pit / patio heater /video. In this video I show how I made a unique fire pit from scratch. I used 3mm mild steel to make the body of the fire pit and some 30 mm tube to connect it to the wheel and for the supports. The wheel is made from regular construction timber glued together. The grill section is made from 10 mm steel rod.
The wheelbarrow fire pit is different from regular mass produced fire pits and I think it is stylish and unique. It also makes it easy to remove the ashes as all you have to do is wheel it and tip it!
The fire pit is finished in a heat resistant paint and the wheel is finished in 3 coats of a dark oak stain.
I am just going to use it as a fire pit but could be easily adapted to a bbq just by adding a grill to the top.
