Julian Assange Expected to Be Sent to the U.S. for Blockbuster Trial After Appeal Court Defeat.
London High Court has ruled that Julian Assange should be extradited to face espionage charges— and a potentially lengthy prison sentence— in the U.S.
The ruling was based on an appeal by the U.S. government against a British court’s previous refusal to extradite Assange. After assurances from Washington that the WikiLeaks founder would be treated fairly pre and post trial, the court ruled that he should be flown to the U.S.
Lord Chief Justice Lord Burnett addressed risks that Assange might commit suicide during the brief reading of the ruling, “That risk is in our judgment excluded by the assurances which are offered,” he said. “It follows that we are satisfied that, if the assurances had been before the judge, she would have answered the relevant question differently.”
The judge said the case will now be sent to Westminster magistrates court to process. The U.K. Home Secretary will have the final say on whether to extradite him. Washington lawyers have floated the suggestion that he could return to Australia to serve any sentence though in reality, that would be up to the judge overseeing the case.
Assange’s fiancée Stella Moris said the High Court decision was a “grave miscarriage of justice.”
It is unclear when he might be transferred to the U.S., or if there are other legal loopholes his legal team could try to avoid being extradited.
The 50-year-old Australian has been languishing in a British prison after years going into exile in the Ecuador embassy in London to beat extradition to Sweden where he faced rape and sexual assault charges, which have since been dropped. While in the embassy, he fathered two children with Moris and where he was apparently a slob who aggravated the staff.
While there, the Ecuadorian tax payers footed the bill for a private security firm to keep Assange safe and to vet his substantial guest-list which included celebrities like Pamela Anderson, controversial political figures like Dana Rohrabacher and alleged spies.
He has been in custody since 2019 when he left the embassy after they revoked his citizenship over unpaid bills.
Assange faces 18 charges relating to WikiLeaks 2010 release of half a million classified U.S. government documents relating to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. He faces 175 years in prison if convicted.

| The only person that doesn't think Assange should be burned at the stake, is Vitriol.
Assange is a traitor. |

Trump and Don Jr. could be in big trouble if Assange is extradited to the US: national security expert.
Saturday afternoon, the former assistant director for counterintelligence at the FBI explained to Alex Witt that Donald Trump and his son Don Jr. should be shaking in their boots if Wikileaks founder Julian Assange is successfully extradited to the U.S.
According to Frank Figliuzzi, Assange could provide information linking the two Trumps -- along with former Trump adviser Roger Stone -- to the Russians and possible collusion the 2016 Trump presidential campaign.
On Dec. 10th it was reported that government lawyers "won an appeal against a London court ruling that had blocked the extradition of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange from Britain."
AFP reported, "Assange is wanted to face trial for the publication by WikiLeaks in 2010 of classified military documents relating to the US wars in Afghanistan and Iraq."
According to Figliuzzi, successful extradition and interviews with Assange could center on Trump and his oldest son.
"There's at least three people who should be very concerned about the possibility of Assange being extradited to the United States, " the ex-FBI man explained.
"First, former president Trump. secondly, Don Trump Jr., and also Roger Stone, and here's why. Assange possesses the capability, the knowledge to help close the gap between all of that [Special Counsel Robert] Mueller investigation talk of collusion with Russia and the 2016 campaign, and the gap between that and criminal chargeable conspiracy with Russia."
"If you recall Assange's Wikileaks actually reached out to Guccifer 2.0 known to be a Russian intelligence GRU entity and said give that to me, Wikileaks, that hacked material that ,by the way, Mueller charged 12 Russian intelligence officers for hacking. Give that to me, I'll disseminate it and help the Trump campaign. He knows also who he was in direct contact with during the campaign."
"We know from the investigation that Don Jr. was in contact with Wikileaks for months during the campaign, even received tasking and acted on it from Wikileaks," he continued. "We also know from the investigation that Rick Gates, an aide to Trump, on a trip to La Guardia airport with Trump, Trump took a call he says from Roger Stone, hung up the phone and told Gates there's going to be more dirt coming from Wikileaks soon."
"If Assange can close that gap: here's who I talked to in the campaign, here's what they told me Trump knew, here's how I talked with Russia on behalf of the campaign- it also means that Trump would have lied to Mueller when asked about this issue numerous times," he added.
((( Assange is facing 120 years in prison for leaking classified military documents-- IF he gives evidence on trump he could cut a deal )))

..I knew it!! .. That colludin' mutha fukka .. Now well git duh trufe!!
YGBFSM .. Really? Not only did multiple investigations come up empty on this shit, but further investigating proved it to be all bullshit from the getgo. .paid for by the Clinton camp and played out by some of the top FBI officials among plenty of others
Shit, Jerry Nadler continued to ensemble his committee and mull it over long after the Mueller report was said and done ..to further waste time and taxpayer funds ...as if slobbering about it for months would somehow produce evidence that all the investigations missed
Obviously Mueller was/is incompetent, senile, whatever, but *somebody* on that team ran the investigation .. Being they had free reign to do anything and go anywhere with almost limitless resources, wouldn't it have occured to them to grill Assange if it was at all possible that he had any info on Trump-Russia collusion? .. They coulda made a deal with him back then if there was one to be made .. It's just more senseless bullshit ..who knows for what reason ..
I think Temple prolly types "Trump" in as keyword search in the leftwing rags he reads and regurgitates the articles here, no matter how petty and insignificant they might be .. He seems more obsessed than ever with him now that he's been out of office for a year |
