Ginni Thomas is ‘red-pilled to the gills’ and a 'heavy duty' QAnon conspiracy theorist: reporter.

The bombshell report on text messages Ginni Thomas sent Trump White House chief of staff Mark Meadows show her not just trying to overturn the 2020 election, but also pushing QAnon conspiracy theories.

Will Sommer, a Daily Beast reporter and the author
of a forthcoming book on QAnon, analyzed the text messages Clarence Thomas's wife sent to Donald Trump's top aide.

"They reveal that Ginni Thomas is into some heavy-duty QAnon stuff!" Sommer wrote in a Twitter thread.

"This idea of watermarked ballots being used to catch Democratic voter fraud is big in QAnon, but I'm especially interested in her idea of military 'white hats' (in other words, good guys).

That's a key QAnon phrase," he explained.
"Ginni Thomas sent Meadows a Steve Pieczenik video about a 'QFS' system. QFS is the 'Quantum Financial System,' an idea of a mythical money system that will bring on a sort of right-wing utopia. Pieczenik is a regular InfoWars guest."

InfoWars is run by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who was subpoenaed by the House Select Committee to Investigate the Jan. 6 Attack on the U.S. Capitol.

"Finally, Ginni Thomas ref's the idea of Dem elites being imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay — a huge QAnon tell!
Interestingly, the text she's pulling from, like 'QFS',
is huge on Iraqi dinar forums, raising the possibility that she's an Iraqi dinar fan!"
he wrote, linking to a 2019 story he wrote titled, "Trump Fans Sink Savings Into 'Iraqi Dinar' Scam."

--The texts also show Thomas passing on QAnon conspiracy theories directly to Meadows.

"Biden crime family & ballot fraud co-conspirators (elected officials, bureaucrats, social media censorship mongers, fake stream media reporters, etc) are being arrested & detained for ballot fraud right now & over coming days, & will be living in barges off GITMO to face military tribunals for sedition," she wrote in another text.

He concluded, "Ginni Thomas is dropping deep QAnon lore and may be, as they say on @QanonAnonymous, 'red-pilled to the gills.'"

Sommer wasn't the only one to notice the QAnon allusions.

Mike Rothschild, author of the 2021 book The Storm is Upon Us on the QAnon movement, also confirmed Ginni Thomas was using the language of the conspiracy theory.

"This is QAnon. Ginni Thomas, who is
MARRIED TO A SUPREME COURT JUSTICE,
is completely and utterly Q-pilled - even if she insists she knows nothing about it and has never heard of it," Rothschild said.

Investigative journalist Luke O'Brien, who specializes in researching extremism and disinformation, warned of more violence.

"The FBI labeled QAnon a domestic terrorism threat in 2019.
If Ginni Thomas exemplifies the inroads this violent anti-Semitic conspiracy movement has made in high-level Christian conservative circles, we're definitely in for more violence and, possibly, more insurrection," he warned.

Legal experts quickly weighed in on the bombshell report, saying the text messages documented a
"truly extraordinary level of corruption."

Despite his wife's connection to the events around January 6, Thomas refused to recuse himself from
a case on whether the House committee could obtain documents from the National Archives about Trump's communications that day —
and was the 'sole' justice on the Supreme Court
to dissent from allowing them to do so.

'Truly extraordinary level of corruption':
Legal experts weigh in on Ginni Thomas' texts to Mark Meadows.

Legal experts were shocked on Thursday about revelations that the Select Committee to Investigate the Jan. 6 Attack on the U.S. Capitol obtained text messages sent between Ginny Thomas, wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, and then-White House chief of staff Mark Meadows.

Thursday, "Virginia Thomas, a conservative activist married to Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, repeatedly pressed White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to pursue unrelenting efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election in a series of urgent text exchanges in the critical weeks after the vote, according to copies of the messages obtained by
The Washington Post and CBS News."

"The messages – 29 in all – reveal an extraordinary pipeline between Virginia Thomas, who goes by Ginni, and President Donald Trump’s top aide during a period when Trump and his allies were vowing to go to the Supreme Court in an effort to negate the election results," The Post reported.

"The messages, show for the first time how Ginni Thomas used her access to Trump’s inner circle to promote and seek to guide the president’s strategy
to overturn the election results – and how receptive and grateful Meadows said he was to receive her advice."

This is an unprecedented entanglement between a top official in the Exec Branch and the spouse of a Justice. They are privately discussing strategy, lawyers, managing WH staff, and conspiracy theories."

Legal experts quickly weighed in on the bombshell reporting, which came as Clarence Thomas may or may not still be hospitalized.

Adam Blickstein, who worked in public affairs for the Department of Justice, alluded to the situation when he noted,
"We now have more information about Ginny Thomas' illegal attempt to overturn the 2020 election than we do about Clarence Thomas' current medical condition."

"One of the most important questions in politics right now: what did Clarence Thomas know, and when did he know it?" he asked.

Election law lawyer Rick Hasen described it as "astounding" and political scientist Norman Ornstein responded, "Clarence Thomas should resign."

Clarence Thomas should resign
— Norman Ornstein (@Norman Ornstein) 1648157034
Attorney and Daily Beast columnist Wajahat Ali did not think Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) should wait for Thomas to resign, counseling that "Democrats should impeach Clarence Thomas." Former public defender Kumar Roa agreed, saying "Impeach Clarence Thomas."

The watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) said, "this seems like a big deal."

"The Supreme Court voted 8-1 that Trump couldn't block the Jan 6th committee from getting docs.
The one vote against was Clarence Thomas.
Mark Meadows turned over texts from Thomas's wife Ginni Thomas urging efforts to overturn the election. What else was afraid would come out?" CREW wondered.

Former Southern District of New York prosecutor Richard Signorelli wondered if Ginni Thomas referenced her husband in the text messages.

"She is nuts. I would bet that the 'best friend' reference in her texts is her husband," he said.

Jane Mayer, who profiled Ginni Thomas in January for The New Yorker, agreed.

"After talking with her 'best friend,' which is how the Thomases refer to one another, Justice Thomas's wife militates relentlessly for the president's chief of staff to overturn a presidential election," Mayer wrote.

Slate legal correspondent Mark Joseph Stern was shocked when he went through the text messages.

"Ginni Thomas urged Mark Meadows to overturn the 2020 election by any means necessary—while her husband was ruling on cases attempting to overturn the election. A truly extraordinary level of corruption," he wrote.
"Look at the absolutely deranged conspiracy theories Ginni Thomas pushed. Fringe doesn’t begin to cover it. She promoted conspiracy theories from a Sandy Hook truther plus QAnon stuff."

Ginni Thomas embraced the rhetoric of an infamous
'election fraud' guru.

Ginni Thomas, wife of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, is at the center of controversy amid the discovery of incriminating text messages she sent as part of a scheme to overturn the presidential election.

Per The Daily Beast:

"In her messages, published Thursday by CBS News and the Washington Post, Thomas urged then-White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to look into the claims of Steve Pieczenik, a little-known conspiracy theorist whose ideas are often too crazy for even Alex Jones."

Now, details are emerging about Pieczenik, the far-right conspiracy theorist and so-called election fraud "guru" she embraced.

“If you believe what Steve Pieczenik has to say, you have completely lost all touch with reality,” said Jordan Holmes, a comedian who tracks the right-wing site InfoWars and its conservative guests, on his own podcast platform, Knowledge Fight.

Pieczenik reportedly has a long history of circulating false claims and often references his career working in the national security bureaucracy, including, The Beast reports "in classified positions, all of which makes it difficult to discern what’s true about his identity."

Although Pieczenik was known for his work back in the 1990s, his perspective appeared to have shifted drastically when he began making guest appearances on the conspiracy-driven InfoWars platform. Holmes explained the extent of Pieczenik's rhetoric and how far he tends to veer from reality.

“Pieczenik goes on to hit the ball out of the fences every single time, which means he goes too far sometimes,” Holmes said. “And when that happens, he winds up getting put on the backburner for a little while."

The Beast political reporter Will Sommer noted:
"His stories were so wild they even became too much for Jones. After he claimed the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting that killed 60 people was fake, for example, Jones appeared to temporarily block him from appearing on the outlet. All that has given him a reputation as a loose cannon even by the already outré standards of the InfoWars green room."

But despite his wild claims, this is the individual Thomas reportedly referenced when expressing
her concerns about the outcome of the presidential election.

Former aides dish on 'go-getterish grandma' Ginni Thomas and her influence on Trump’s White House.

Who is the real Ginni Thomas seems to be the question being bantered about up and down K Street and Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C., in recent days.

When it was revealed that the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas was in regular communication with White House chief of staff Mark Meadows, urging him to do everything he could to overturn the 2020 presidential election results and keep former President Donald Trump in power, the nation's capital shuddered.

Conservative activist and former Trump adviser Steve Bannon says Thomas is “one of the most powerful forces in the MAGA movement — a force of nature.”

According to Politico, she was known by Trump officials for sharing the names of people she wanted hired and fired by the president.
Among them were friends of the couple, members
of her right-wing network of activists and operatives at Groundswell, and people Thomas believed would be unfailingly loyal to Trump.

She occasionally visited with Trump at the White House, officials said, and would offer words of flattery."

“I put her in the category of ‘her husband is a big deal and she can’t be doing too much damage,’”
one former senior White House official told Politico, who recalled seeing Thomas with Trump.

When with Trump, she was known to discuss news of the day, offer him a pep talk, the former official said, and “basically kiss his ass and tell him he was doing
a great job and was the greatest president.”

And depending on who you talk to in Trumpworld, she was the type of overeager, well-connected D.C type that every administration must deal with, or a serious player who helped maintain the political coalition that elevated Trump.

“She has to get involved in everything, she just has time on her hands [and] is a go-getterish and involved grandma,” a former White House official
told Politico.

Another former official told the publication that her influence grew over time.
"The maniac types had more power at the end," the person said.

Former Trump aide rages over 'disturbed'
Ginni Thomas' hiring memos.

According to a report from the Daily Beast, Ginni Thomas was a frequent visitor to Donald Trump's White House where she would present the former president with lists of people in his administration that she felt were disloyal to him which, in turn, would lead to mass firings.

Since text messages related the Jan 6th insurrection between Thomas and former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows were released last week, the
wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas
has been under increasing scrutiny and now Trump insiders are talking about her undue influence on hiring and firing decisions, with one calling some
of her advice "insane."

According to the Beast's Asawin Suebaeng and Adam Rawnsley, "Ever since she became a welcome guest at Trump’s residences, Thomas—an influential and longtime conservative activist, and wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas—had perfected a proven formula of enthralling and manipulating the president’s emotions and mood.

On multiple occasions throughout the Trump era, Thomas would show up in the White House, sometimes for a private meeting or a luncheon
with the president.
She often came armed with written memos of who she and her allies believed Trump should hire for plum jobs—and who she thought Trump should promptly purge—that she distributed to Trump
and other high-ranking government officials."

Those lists were described as "problematic" and helped to sow chaos at an already chaotic White House leading Trump to fly into rages and to
demand both firings and immediate vetting of
hires she recommended.

According to one former senior Trump official,
“We all knew that within minutes after Ginni left
her meeting with the president, he would start
yelling about firing people for being disloyal. When Ginni Thomas showed up, you knew your day was wrecked.”

According to the report the lists provided to Trump and his inner circle were "...based on pure conjecture, rumor, or score-settling, where even steadfastly MAGA aides were targeted for being part of the 'Deep State' or some other supposedly anti-Trump coalition,'" adding __

"Some of these officials noticed that as the Trump term went on, the Thomas lists would increasingly feature a disproportionate share of names more suited to an OAN guest line-up than any functional government."

The report notes that Trump aides would look into the potential hires and then have to provide reasons why the candidates were unhireable including, in some cases, their inability to pass security checks
or refusal to want to work with the president.

"After Thomas departed, he would soon summon a variety of government personnel—West Wing brass, national security aides, lawyers, and other underlings, depending on proximity or the occasion—to inform them he’d just spoken to 'Ginni," the Beast reported.

"Trump would then identify an official— or, sometimes, he would rattle off a string of names—who he said needed to be sacked “immediately,” according to people familiar with the matter."

Another Trump insider raged at the hoops Trump made staffers had to jump through due to the hit lists.

“These f*cking lists were so insane and unworkable,” the former Trump White House official complained.
“A lot of them were dripping with paranoia and read like they were written by a disturbed person.”

According to former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham, Trump was obsessed with gossiping with Thomas.

“Trump loved talking to Ginni so much because he loved hearing about who was a Never Trumper, or allegedly one. He loved people who would flatter
him, [as Ginni would do],” explained Grisham.

"But also, his obsession with loyalty aside, he just loved to gossip—all the time.
That’s something else he got out of his series of meetings at the White House with Ginni Thomas.”

Clarence Thomas is the only Supreme Court justice
to take a photo with a political candidate in history.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is the only justice in the entire history of the High Court that has taken a photo with a political campaign candidate.

Herschel Walker, who is running for U.S. Senate as
a Republican in Georgia, posted a photo of himself with Thomas, which is the only one to have posed
for such a photo. The research team looked for photos throughout history and that only once has
a justice done such a photo and is using it for his political campaign.

Recently, Supreme Court justices have spoken out about the criticism that the court has taken a dramatic turn to support right-wing politics that are out of step with mainstream American values.

"To say the court's reasoning is flawed is different from saying the court is acting in a partisan manner," Barrett said. "I think we need to evaluate what the court is doing on its own terms."
"There's value in members of the high court speaking to audiences outside of Washington, but that concept is corrupted when stretched to rationalize appearing at events that look and sound like political pep rallies."

“You can cavalierly talk about doing this or doing that. At some point the institution is going to be compromised," said Justice Thomas while
at a hotel in Salt Lake City in March.
“By doing this, you continue to chip away at the respect of the institutions that the next generation
is going to need if they’re going to have civil society.”
