Off Grid & Growing

Follow along as we travel to Tennessee and decide on the location of our future off grid homestead as well as determine everything that will be needed to develop the land. In this episode we will be looking at a few different areas and deciding which track of land will be best for building a Cob structure as well as the track that has the most sun since we will need to set up a Solar System for our power needs. Fertile land is important to us for growing a sustainable food forest. Water collection is another worry when living of off the grid. While we are on the land I will look at potential for natural water sources like Rain Water Collection, natural running streams and hand digging a well.  This is a journey that neither of us thought would be possible but are so excited to see what we are capable of. Being Self sufficient, growing our own food, living off our land and depending on nobody except each other is something we thing everyone is capable of and I look forward to sharing our everyday life with all of you.
