YouTube takes down antivaxx Joe Rogan interview with Dr Robert Malone which likened vaccines to mass psychosis Tom Fenton Mon, January 3, 2022, 10:46 AM
YouTube has removed a video of a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience in which the podcast host was talking to Dr Robert Malone – a physician with a history of controversial statements related to Covid-19.
The episode in question, No 1757, was uploaded to Spotify on New Year's Eve, as Mr Rogan has an exclusive deal with the streaming service. While Mr Rogan no longer uploads full shows to YouTube, several third-party channels have taken it upon themselves to post the episodes that would otherwise only be available on Spotify.
While a number of recent JRE episodes remain on YouTube, one featuring Dr Malone was removed by the platform after only a few hours, The Post Millenial reports.
Given the doctor’s contested views on Covid-19, including his opposition to vaccine mandates for minors, the act by YouTube has sparked several accusations of censorship amongst right-wing politicians and political commentators.

Joe Rogan joins GETTR, a MAGA alternative to Twitter, following Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's ban Jake Lahut 21 hours ago
Podcaster and UFC commentator Joe Rogan has joined GETTR, a conservative alternative to Twitter. He's already surpassed 8 million followers since joining Sunday night.
The self-described "free speech social media platform" touted 171,629 new users on Sunday.
Podcast mogul Joe Rogan announced on Sunday that he's joining GETTR, a conservative alternative to Twitter with less stringent community standards on misinformation and a more narrow definition of hate speech.
In a statement to Insider, GETTR CEO Jason Miller linked Rogan's arrival to a record setting six figure boost in new users the same day.
"More than 171,000 people signed up for GETTR after Joe Rogan announced he was joining our platform, making Sunday the biggest day for our platform since we launched on July 4," Miller, a former Trump advisor, wrote in the email. "Like us, Joe knows that Big Tech censorship is only going to get worse and GETTR's incredible growth is proof that people are waking up to this dangerous reality and are hungry for an alternative which protects freedom of expression."
Rogan's debut on the self-described "free speech social media platform which fights cancel culture" comes on the heels of Twitter permanently suspending Republican Rep. Marjori Taylor Greene of Georgia for repeatedly violating the company's COVID-19 misinformation policy.
The suspension only applies to Greene's personal account, not her congressional one.
"Just in case shit over at Twitter gets even dumber, I'm here now as well," Rogan, who remains on Twitter, wrote in his first post on GETTR. "Rejoice!"
Rogan has emerged as a major voice in the conservative media ecosystem and has faced backlash from public health experts over promoting pandemic and vaccine misinformation on his show.
While Rogan's account was created on January 2, previous tweets and retweets of his appear to be backlogged on his page.
"We're just days into 2022 and already Twitter has permanently banned Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene and deplatformed Dr. Robert Malone, a scientist and contributor to mRNA vaccine technology," Miller wrote in his statement to Insider. "Freedom of expression is essential to a thriving democracy and we welcome anyone who wants to speak freely to join us on GETTR like they have."
In an August interview on tech journalist Kara Swisher's New York Times podcast, Miller said he's been trying to get former President Donald Trump to join the platform, which he has yet to do.

Joe Rogan Joins Jason Miller’s MAGA-Loving ‘Free Speech’ Site ‘Just in Case’ Zachary Petrizzo, Media Reporter DAILY BEAST Published Jan. 02, 2022 8:39PM ET / Updated Jan. 02, 2022 11:41PM ET
Joe Rogan has joined former Trump aide Jason Miller’s right-wing MAGA-loving social media platform, Gettr. “Just in case shit over at Twitter gets even dumber, I’m here now as well,” the podcaster and comedian posted on the site Sunday afternoon.
The move from Rogan follows the suspension of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s personal Twitter account on Sunday morning. Rogan might himself going the same way: He’s “broadcast conspiracy theories, COVID-19 misinformation, and anti-trans rhetoric,” according to the liberal watchdog organization Media Matters for America.
As for Gettr, it has had its own debacles over the past few months after launching in July 2021. The platform recently blocked users from posting the racist term “groyper” after Gettr permanently banned white nationalist Nicholas Fuentes, only to subsequently be spammed by his followers. “The user in question violated GETTR’s clearly defined terms of use and has been suspended from the platform,” a Gettr spokesperson told The Daily Beast in late December.
It's kinda like twitter without the censorship, left wing, banning, cancel culture mob....and people are going there after getting banned on twitter
I've only been there several weeks .. It seems to be building popularity ..a lotta politicians and political stuff but i guess it depends on who you follow ...

Explain how you'd have the slightest clue who's registered there, being as you're *not*
GETTR had a million registered there in the first 3 DAYS .. In comparison it took twitter a year to accumulate that many
It's typical for left wingnuts of your ilk to criticize a new platform that allows free speech without the censorship, suspensions and bannings of people with views with which you disagree

Huge: Half million follow Joe Rogan to GETTR by Paul Bedard, Washington Secrets Columnist | Washington Examiner | January 04, 2022 10:24 AM
It’s working.
GETTR, an upstart Twitter challenger aimed at free speech advocates and conservatives who have been squelched on liberal-leaning social media sites, is nearing four million users exactly six months after its Independence Day launch.
The latest growth spurt came on Sunday, when influencer Joe Rogan joined — and more than 500,000 followed.
The site reported that Rogan’s announcement prompted more than 171,000 people to open GETTR accounts Sunday. On Monday, another 341,000 joined, and as of today, new sign-ups have totaled 545,000 since Rogan said, “Just in case s*** over at Twitter gets even dumber, I’m here now as well. Rejoice!”
Jason Miller, the CEO of GETTR and a former top spokesman for former President Donald Trump, told Secrets Tuesday, “This is the latest proof that the Silicon Valley oligarchs are censoring themselves into a downward spiral. Joe Rogan disrupted the traditional media with his massively popular podcast, and now he’s joined GETTR, which is disrupting social media. This is a pivotal moment for free expression, and we’re seeing people migrate to free speech GETTR in huge numbers.”
The site has seen explosive growth as Twitter and Facebook have very publicly censored, suspended, and banned many Trump surrogates and allies, including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, who lost her account over statements about COVID that Twitter didn’t like.
Miller said that Rogan’s switch also led other influencers to come on board or increase their usage. They include: journalist Mary Katharine Ham, Newsmax host Rob Schmitt, podcaster Adam22, author and podcaster Bret Weinstein, commentator CJ Pearson, soccer star and announcer Matt Le Tissier, news outlet the Daily Mail, actress Kristy Swanson, activist and journalist Andy Ngo, political commentator Dave Rubin, comedian Larry the Cable Guy, author Dr. Jordan B. Peterson, columnists Kurt Schlichter, Karol Markowicz, Salena Zito, and Josh Hammer, former NBA player and podcaster Andrew Bogut, British rapper Zuby, UFC fighter Tim Kennedy, MMA fighter James Webb, and TV host Jedediah Bila.
GETTR is also an international free speech platform and is very big in countries with conservative constituencies, such as Brazil.

GETTER is housing for rejects from the society that can not live in the real world-- They have been rejected from most sites because they can not abide in social societies. They had the need to create a place just for them.. Isolating so to say from mainstream.. In other words-- rejected from society because they simply can not survive in normal socities. BWAA! that's pitiful. actually--

BWA- it will never come close to twitter, never.
Social network Twitter is particularly popular in the United States, where as of October 2021, the microblogging service had 77.75 million users.
Japan and India were ranked second and third with more than 58 and 24.5 million users respectively.Nov 19, 2021

Subject: Joe Says; Gettr Is A Phony Operation: Tue Jan 11, 2022 6:05 pm

Gettr is a phony operation: says MAGA darling Joe Rogan.
Joe Rogan Drags Gettr ‘Fuckery’ Days After Joining the MAGA Twitter Alternative
“Rejoice,” Joe Rogan wrote earlier this month when he joined Gettr, the MAGA-friendly Twitter alternative founded by former Trump aide Jason Miller.
Now the influential comedian and podcaster seemingly regrets his decision, blasting the social-media app this week as a “fugazi” site that engages in “fuckery.”
“I might be part of the Chinese Communist Party now, I believe,” Rogan joked on Monday— referencing how Gettr is bankrolled by exiled Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui—after fellow comedian Tim Dillon noted how the former Fear Factor host had recently joined Gettr and generated a flurry of media headlines.
“Well, the news story is their fucking amount of people that signed up increased by 1,150 percent or something” as a result of his joining, Rogan remarked on The Tim Dillon Show.
“Yeah, you have like 9 million followers on Gettr,” Dillon responded, before Rogan tossed cold water on that metric.
“Yeah, it’s not real, though,” he explained, “Gettr doesn’t even have 9 million people.”
According to the podcasting star, the social-media site merely combines pre-existing Twitter followings to its user profiles.
“This is where the fuckery is,” Rogan continued. “They take all my Twitter followers and then they port those over.”
“So Gettr is fugazi,” Dillion replied.
“Definitely fugazi,” Rogan agreed.
(((__ fugazi 1. Artificial, fake. Something that has no substance. 2. A really bad knockoff, a copy. 3. Someone that copies or fronts. 4. Something or/and somebody that is fake, inferior or sub standard. ))))
The comedian then suggested that he’d consider removing his Gettr profile, but “I don’t know how to get off,” he remarked. “Like if I get off of Gettr, I don’t think I can.”
“You have to sit down with Marjorie Taylor Greene, personally,” Dillon joked.
“She’s gonna tell me all about what’s in the basement of Comet Pizza,” Rogan chuckled in response.
“We’ve been in contact with Joe Rogan’s team and hope that we have addressed any concerns he may have,” Jason Miller wrote in a statement to The Daily Beast on Tuesday, further claiming that the “follower count on GETTR includes Twitter followers because we will soon be incorporating cross-platform posting.”
Rogan’s mockery of Gettr appeared to further fuel some far-right media personalities’ criticism of the social media site.
“It’s interesting that Joe Rogan is also suspicious of Gettr,” Blaze TV host Elijah Schaffer commented, “after learning about the Chinese funding, follower inflation, blocking of political dissidents they disagree with.
And last week, right-wing shock jock Stew Peters similarly attacked Gettr, claiming the site is an “intelligence gathering platform for the enemy to America,” while floating the possibility that Guo might be a “spy” for the Chinese government.

MAGA social media site Gettr bans Black pundit for using the N-word after claiming to be a 'cancel-free zone'.
When the social media site Gettr first launched, former Donald Trump campaign aide Jason Miller claimed it would be a "cancel-free zone," allowing people to say whatever they want. The only exception made at the time of the launch was that no one could trash Gettr on Gettr. Now, the site is moving to ban users.
The Daily Beast reported that one right-wing pundit has been banned after using the N-word in his profile. Jon Miller identifies as a Black conservative using the word in his profile.
Jon Miller then took to Twitter, ranting, "The 'free speech' frauds at @GETTRofficial have suspended me for no reason. I didn't even use it. I had no posts. Guess I was too critical of them for suspending others? What does it say when the 1st platform to ban me is the one that sells itself as the free speech alternative?"
But communications director Ebony Boden shot back that it was clear Jon Miller was using their social media site.
"You did use our platform, and you included the N-word in your profile, a clear violation of our terms of service. Gettr does defend free speech but we've got no room for racial slurs. Bye," Bowden wrote.
Jon Miller then responded, saying, "Wow a black man can't even refer to his own people freely if it makes a patronizing white woman mad! We ADOPTED that word as a term of ENDEARMENT because of racist Democrats (slave owners) like you."
In a statement to the Beast, the Gettr spokesperson said, "Jon Miller was suspended from Gettr because he used the N-word in his profile. This is a clear violation of our terms of service."
Gettr once described itself as fighting back against the "political censorship and cancel culture" it believed was happening on sites like Twitter and Facebook.
The news comes the same week that MAGA-darling Joe Rogan said that he was leaving the platform, calling it "fake." He explained that when he signed up he suddenly had 9 million followers. The problem is that Gettr doesn't even have 9 million users. What he discovered is that the site uses his Twitter account to pull in follower numbers.
"This is where the fuckery is,” Rogan explained. "They take all my Twitter followers... and then they port those over."
Gettr is already being criticized for being funded by fugitive Chinese billionaire Guo Wengui, a close associate of Steve Bannon.
Miller continued his attacks against Gettr into the early hours of Wednesday morning.

Right-wing Twitter alternative GETTR is in turmoil — and has fired 'over a dozen staffers' in just one year.
On Thursday, the conservative site Washington Examiner reported turmoil at GETTR, the right-wing alternative to Twitter founded last year by a controversial alum of former President Donald Trump's campaign.
"Social media upstart GETTR fired over a dozen staff members late last year, including two key executives and its entire IT and cybersecurity teams, amid rapid growth and what former employees said were funding problems," reported Nihal Krishan.
"The layoffs came even as interest in the company, founded by Jason Miller, a spokesman for former President Donald Trump, exploded. But three people who were canned say that behind the scenes, GETTR is struggling with more than just growing pains, warning that the recent round of layoffs may have jeopardized the platform’s security."
One of these employees reportedly told the Examiner, "In all honesty, in all my years of doing cybersecurity, I’ve never seen a company this poorly run from business operations all the way to IT. It looks like a high school operation."
GETTR has been struggling to take off since its inception, a state of affairs that was not made any better after Trump declined to create an account on the platform.
In recent years, several right-wing social media platforms have popped up, catering to debunked conspiracy theories that "Big Tech" companies are overtly trying to silence conservative content, but none have been very successful.
Gab, one of the first such networks, has become infamous as a haven for white nationalists and neo-Nazis, with one of its users perpetrating the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting.
Another network, Parler, attracted a wide conservative userbase but was badly hurt after its users helped carry out the January 6 attack, and several app platforms temporarily banned the site until it improved violent content moderation.
And Trump himself is moving forward with his own project known as Truth Social, using a so-called "blank check" company that has come under federal investigation for its fundraising practices.

Joe Rogan apologizes after video of him using racial slurs circulates.
Joe Rogan, the polarizing podcaster whose episodes on vaccines have caused a stir for Spotify in recent weeks, apologized Saturday after a video of him using the N-word circulated on social media.
“There’s nothing I can do to take that back,” Rogan said in a video on his Instagram. “I wish I could, but obviously that’s not possible. I do hope that, if anything, that this can be a teachable moment.”
Rogan has branded himself as something of a contrarian in his podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience,” which he’s hosted for 12 years. Musical artists Neil Young and Joni Mitchell last week announced that they would pull their music from Spotify in response to the platform carrying Rogan’s podcast, which has been criticized for spreading Covid-19 vaccine misinformation.
On Thursday, musical artist India.Arie announced that she, too, would remove her work from Spotify because of Rogan’s use of racial slurs. She posted the video compilation of Rogan, who is white, using racial slurs on his podcast, which spurred widespread outrage.
She explained in a video that she does not want her work to generate money that Spotify will then use to pay Rogan. "He shouldn't even be uttering the word," she said, acknowledging that words can be taken out of context on social media, but saying Rogan shouldn't have used the slur regardless.
Spotify removed more than 100 episodes of Rogan’s podcast over the weekend without explanation amid the controversy, according to a tracking platform. The platform did not immediately respond to a request for comment on this story.
Rogan said in his apology that the slurs were taken “out of context,” adding: “To most people, there is no context where a white person is ever allowed to say that word, never mind publicly on a podcast, and I agree with that now. I haven’t said it in years.”
He went on to say that for years, he did use the N-word if it came up in conversation. “I never used it to be racist because I’m not racist,” he said, adding that he hopes that this can be a learning experience for “anybody that doesn’t realize how offensive that word can be coming out of a white person’s mouth, in context or out of context.”
