Sally Kellerman, *M*A*S*H’
Dies at 84 February 24, 2022.
Sad news to report on Thursday. Actress Sally Kellerman, best known as
Major. Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan in Robert Altman’s
M*A*S*H, has passed away at age 84.
Kellerman was residing at an assisted living facility in Woodland Hills, California and died from complications of dementia. This, according to her son, Jack Crane, as told to the Hollywood Reporter.
Spanning a career of over 60 years, Kellerman appeared in several Robert Altman films including M*A*S*H but also parts in: Brewster McCloud, Welcome to LA, Pret-a-Porter and The Player.
Her TV credits included: Outer Limits, 12 O’Clock High, Ben Casey, That Girl and Mannix and later in her career on90210, Workaholics and Maron.
Sally received an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Hot Lips Houlihan in the motion picture version of M*A*S*H.
