The second private wall built by We Build The Wall's contractor, Fisher Industries, using private funds, is going up at a record pace after winning a court case against the project last week. KRGV shows the progress and gets some surprising reactions from locals.

Authorities find longest Southwest border smuggling tunnel extending more than 4,300 feet AP, Updated: 5:26 PM EST Jan 29, 2020
U.S. authorities on Wednesday announced the discovery of the longest smuggling tunnel ever found on the Southwest border, stretching more than three-quarters of a mile from Tijuana, Mexico, into the San Diego area.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection said the tunnel originates in an industrial area in Mexico and extends a total of 4,309 feet (1,313 meters).
It features an extensive rail/cart system, forced air ventilation, high-voltage electrical cables and panels, an elevator at the tunnel entrance, and a complex drainage system, the agency said.
“While subterranean tunnels are not a new occurrence along the California-Mexico border, the sophistication and length of this particular tunnel demonstrates the time-consuming efforts transnational criminal organizations will undertake to facilitate cross-border smuggling,” said Cardell T. Morant, acting special agent in charge of Homeland Security Investigations in San Diego.
Following the discovery in August, Mexican law enforcement identified the tunnel entrance and members of the San Diego Tunnel Task Force began mapping the tunnel from Mexico, the agency said.
The next-longest tunnel in the U.S. was discovered in San Diego in 2014. It was 2,966 feet (904 meters) long.
The newly discovered tunnel is about 5.5 feet tall and 2 feet wide and runs at an average depth of 70 feet below the surface, officials said.
Agents discovered several hundred sandbags blocking the suspected former exit of the tunnel in the Otay Mesa warehouse district within the U.S.
The discovery did not lead to any arrests or seizures.

11 million illegals (or more) didn't use a tunnel to enter this country.

That's the idea of building one, so they can't enter through it ...The article talks about a TUNNEL, which indicates it's _under ground_ and not through a wall ...HTH ...And 90% of drugs certainly aren't coming through the ports of entry

Do you actually talk like ^that or what? ...Do you not have time to write a full coherent sentence? ..Your entire post couldn't have taken more than a minute to type ..Count the words ..

No, the subject was about a tunnel. No mention of drugs in the articles' subject line.
And there's no mention of drugs in the C&P. Only about cross-border smuggling. You brought drugs into it.
Please provide a link to your claim that 90% of drugs don't come through a wall.
Walls do stop illegals from entering our country. That 11 miilion figure (perhaps as high as 15 million) occurred because there was no viable wall built by previous administrations, even though their Congresses funded them. The illegal entries have slowed with Trump in power.

I've heard that number could be as high as 22 million ...No way of getting an accurate count
There are a couple "caravans" on their way here from south america now ...several thousand migrants ...Mexico police and national guards have managed to stop a lot of them ... Illegal immigration wouldn't be such a problem if democrats would stop enticing the migrants and preventing CBP, ICE, and HS from doing their jobs ...The wall and those 3 agencies functioning as they should would almost bring illegal immigration to a halt

Trump on Sunday said a reportedly defective section of his new border wall should not have been built by a private company.
The Texas Tribune reported Thursday that a segment of the wall along the Texas-Mexico border was showing dangerous “signs of erosion“ only months after being completed. The section was constructed by Fisher Industries of North Dakota, whose owner called the design a “Lamborghini.”
“Six engineering and hydrology experts consulted by The Texas Tribune said it was concerning to see the level of erosion around the fence so soon after construction and added that segments of Fisher’s steel structure could topple into the river if not fixed.“
Critics have argued that Trump has exaggerated the amount of wall that has been built along the border.
Fisher, according to the Associated Press, said the president was misinformed. “The wall will stand for 150 years, you mark my words,” said Fisher, a regular donor to Republican candidates.
