A recently retired general lamented to Fox News this week that President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw troops from Syria has already damaged U.S. national interests by abandoning the Kurds.
“The deed has been done,” retired Army Major General Malcolm Frost explained to Fox News correspondent Jennifer Griffin. “So what’s happening is we’ve already lost our reputation. We have abandoned an ally, and thirdly, those ISIS prisoners are going to escape.”

Yea ...I thought she explained the situation better than I've heard from the media too, which has been caught blatantly lying about it a couple times now ...seems they're just using it as yet another excuse for the Orange Man Bad narrative

Total humiliation of the USA’:
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Wednesday declared that he would not meet with American Vice President Mike Pence, who had traveled to the Turkish capital of Ankara to discuss a potential ceasefire in northern Syria.
Specifically, the Turkish leader insisted that he would only meet President Donald Trump himself to discuss any matters related to his country’s invasion of Syria.
“When Trump comes here, I’ll be talking,” Erdoğan told Sky News.
Erdoğan’s snub of the vice president drew hackles all across the internet, and Talking Points Memo founder Josh Marshall went so far as to describe it as a “total humiliation of the USA.”
Try to keep up. The Turkish president WILL be meeting with Pompeo and Pence.
Probably a wise decision...I tend to think these meetings are prearranged and top white house officials don't just fly around the world to meet with leaders of other countries on a whim, hoping not to be "humiliated" and told to fukoff
Temple is always too anxious to scrape up any morsel he can find that fits his anti Trump/American narrative ...probably why he didn't mention his bombshell headline was a Twitter post from some nobody with an opinion and a check mark by his name
Today, during the press conference with Italian President Mattarella, Trump said (regarding Syria):"It's a very semi-complicated situation, not too complicated if you're smart, but it's a semi-complicated problem."
Temple pretends he's aware of the "change of plans" by the Turkish leader, and rather than correct his own posted rhetoric, he waits for directorate to do so and tries to retort with this pitiful utterance
Quote :
Yes, but that still does not take away the snub, nope.. Pence was highly pushed aside.
Pence will attend the meeting ..To "snub" the VP, who is there on the order of the POTUS, would be to snub the POTUS, which is a bad idea for the Turk
Quote :
and- the Turkish president caved under presure= reluctantly.
What pressure ...from whom? ...What possible reason would the Turk have for allegedly "snubbing" a meeting arranged with the VP and the SOS of the US? ...Again, these US officials don't just show up outta the blue and hope the leader(s) of another country will decide to meet with them or not ..they don't fly halfway across the world to play stoopid fuk'n games over some worthless, half ass opinions somebody might have of them
Pence isn't there on his own for personal reasons ..He was ordered there by the POTUS for a meeting in good faith ... If the Turk opts outta the meeting for whatever stupid reason, it would be at the peril of himself and/or Turkey
Ya mean there are muslim terrorists in the middle east? ..Imagine my shock
They squawk about an alleged muslim ban and they've been fighting to keep our borders open to the world ....now they're outraged over the possibility of a buncha imprisoned terrorists getting loose in Syria if U.S. troops aren't there to act as guard dogs
....Kurds have joined forces with the Syrian military ... Turks are worried what to do with them and threatened to send them to Europe ...If they're that big of a threat to entire countries over there then blow the fuk'n prison up with them in it
They keep whining about our allies losing trust in the U.S. ...WTF are our allies doing? ..Why should the U.S. be solely responsible for policing these middle eastern countries while they continue their conflicts among each other for fuk'n decades? ...If they can't play nice over there then let them battle it out without putting our troops in harms way over THEIR fuk'n land disputes ...Fuk'em

The Kurds have already rejected Trump’s ceasefire deal: Fox News reporter
The military alliance defending ethnic Kurds in northern Syria has already rejected a purported “ceasefire” agreement being touted by President Donald Trump.
According to Fox News foreign correspondent Trey Yingst, the Syrian Democratic Forces are “rejecting the ceasefire” because it “achieves Turkey’s original goal of moving Kurds from the border and having them give up heavy weapons.”
Yingst went on to say that Trump’s deal with the Turkish government would essentially force the Kurds to give up territory that has for years been their home.
Yingst
@TreyYingst Not surprising that the SDF is rejecting the ceasefire.
This agreement achieves Turkey’s original goal of moving Kurds from the border and having them give up heavy weapons.
The “ceasefire” solidifies the Kurds completely giving up the place they call home.
Turkey on Thursday said it would allow for a limited pause in its military operation in northern Syria to give Kurdish forces a chance to vacate the area. Trump immediately touted this agreement as a massive success despite the fact that it achieved a major strategic aim of the Turkish government at the expense of Kurdish forces that had previously been allied with the United States in its fight against the Islamic State.
((((( that means; it is a forced 'surender' to give up their homes, lives, land that they fought for to 'surender' and leave.. they won't do that, nor should they))))

U.S. soldiers leaving the battlefield in northern Syria are not coming home, despite President Donald Trump’s claims that they are.
On Sunday, Defense Secretary Mark Esper told journalists traveling with him in the Middle East that they will go to western Iraq instead, according to the Associated Press.
On Wednesday, the president had justified the withdrawal of troops helping provide cover to Kurdish allies by saying, “It’s time to bring our soldiers back home.”

US military is ‘sickened’ by Trump’s betrayal: report Turkey launches ‘massive attacks’ on the Kurds
Turkey launched a new offensive against the Kurds in Northern Syria, NBC chief foreign correspondent Richard Engel reported Saturday evening.
“Massive attacks underway against the kurds in northern syria. No ceasefire. Total nonsenses there is,” Engel reported.
President Donald Trump reportedly greenlighted the operation against the Kurds during a phone call with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
“US military officials tell me they are ashamed, ‘sickened.’ It’s cold now outside. What about the families, and kids, out of their homes?” he wondered.
Richard Engel

@RichardEngel The more I talk to sources, the more i’m hearing America’s betrayal of the Kurds, and the humiliation, “misogynistic” “squashing” of US ambassador in Ukraine for political motivations makes people think, we, Americans, have become the “bad guys.” Hearing it was gut punch.
