Fox News poll on impeachment way worse for president than first revealed:
Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg told anchor Alex Witt why the president should be alarmed about the latest Fox News poll showing rising support for his impeachment — and how it is even worse than it looks.
“First of all, it’s a bipartisan polling firm they use. And when you look deeper into the numbers, they weren’t good for the president,” said Nunberg, an associate of indicted Trump strategist Roger Stone. “You certainly had an uptick of independents wanting the president removed from office — impeached and removed, probably around 15 percent prior to other polling. But you had around 11 percent of Republicans. And normally, I would say to myself, well, it’s probably all women. It wasn’t. It was around 10 percent men and 17 percent of women polled that were self-described Republicans.”
“Deeper into the poll, though, what was distressing for me was they asked the question, do you think the president is — essentially, they phrased it, do you think the president is out for himself, to serve himself, or to serve the country? And he lost that by a discrepancy of 51-42,” continued Nunberg.
“Consistently in the Fox News polls, what we’ve seen is Donald Trump against a generic Democrat nationally is losing, 40-50, so you could say it’s similar there.”
“But I will tell you, one important point as we talk about as we are going to head into an impeachment and get into a Senate trial, is the president’s most important number, Alex, from my point of view, is his approval rating in Kentucky,” said Nunberg. “He’s around 25 percent to 30 percent more popular than Mitch McConnell, who is up for re-election.”

Since there are more registered democrats than republicans, most any poll will show Trump as a loser.
But a poll of just over 1000 people is hardly worth the mention:

Here's one just posted, showing projected results if the election was held today:

OCTOBER 15, 2019 / 4:49 PM / UPDATED 5 MINUTES AGO House Democrats will hold off on full vote authorizing impeachment probe: source 1 MIN READ
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives are not currently backing a full vote of the chamber to authorize an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump, said an aide familiar with the situation.
The White House has criticized the lack of such a vote and vowed not to cooperate with what it describes as an illegitimate investigation.

The house does Not need the vote.. The constitution does not require a full vote. Pelosi has 100% the right to do it anyway she wants, she has the sole power. and- the republicans, if reversed, would do the same thing, you know they would.
Pelosi has been in congress most of her life, she knows how to do whatever.

How many times has she impeached a sitting president?
I'm no lawyer but I know it's illegal to convict anyone without due process, their right to an attorney, to face their accuser(s), or without even a fuk'n trial
Sooner or later the republicans are gonna have subpoena powers and the right to cross examine witnesses and call their own...Until that time there's no need for anyone to cooperate with the bullshit the democrats are tryin' to pull
The old hag might have been a politician mosta her life but you can bet Trump has a team of lawyers that know more than her about what she's doing ..You think people like Gulliani, Barr, etc.. aren't answering subpoenas just to neener at the dems? ... For anyone that doesn't know what to do, they have lawyers advising them ...The threats to jail Trump and/or whomever from that mongrel congresswoman are idiotic and of no importance
The longer democrats continue hiding their faux impeachment in private hearings, lying and leaking shit to the media, the worse it's gonna be for them when republicans and Trump's lawyers get their hands on the evidence and witnesses the dems are keeping from them ...If it ever goes to a trial in the senate the dems will wish they never started any of their shit ... Pelosi's career in congress won't mean shit and it will likely be the end of it

The republicans did much worse with Clinton's impeachment. I suggest you read up.. whats good for the goose is good for the gander, ehh.
trump is facing many crimes and total obstruction by not honering subpoenas, that brought Nixon down a strong article against him..
Clinton had blow jobs and lied about them trump is chin deep in corruption and obstruction.
Barr and Gulliani can have their themselves put to jail if that button is pressed via the house vote the republicans so badly want. Using the "inherent contempt" authority, Congress has the power to arrest and detain Giuliani right now.
“Giuliani is going to be the trial balloon for the backbone of the House,” said Fox. “They’ll need to hold him in inherent contempt and jail him or the rest of their subpoenas become impotent.” and- they can do the same to Barr..

Only 7 of 235 House Democrats have stopped short of endorsing the impeachment inquiry. eventually , those 7 will turn..

And I suppose until that "eventually" happens they'll continue to carry on with their private hearings and feed their lapdog media their headlines
Why is there only a handful of democrats attending these hearings? ..Aren't they interested in what the 'witnesses' have to say? ..Maybe the resta them are pondering their vote during their vacation, eh
Again, until there's a vote in the house there's no reason to cooperate with their bullshit private inquiry where only democrats can participate ..and once there's a vote is likely when it'll explode in their face

Congress is back in session today.. the Dems didn't take the break, they worked through it and held their hearings.
Thing is; the House holds the impeachment inquiry hearings.. And then' the Constitution provides the Senate with the power to try impeachments, acting as a court to consider evidence, hear witnesses and determine whether the impeached person should be convicted.
it's a prosses. republicans are upset because the House chose to hold closed-door hearings, they wanted them public. ((if reversed the Senate would do the same thing, it is the way it is; all in the game.
((((( there is Not a requirement under the Constitution or House rules, or under House precedent that the House hold a vote before proceeding with an impeachment inquiry. The Constitution doesn’t offer specific guidance on rules for impeachment inquiries and the House determines its own rules of parliamentary conduct.))))

There was only a handful of dems at the hearings, as I mentioned ..Where were the rest of them and why didn't they attend the hearings? ...Not important enough to warrant their presence? ..Hard at work on crucial issues concerning the American people? ...ha ...I suspect they've been on vacation for the past 2 weeks, as was the plan, otherwise they'd be at the hearings
Quote :

No shit .. Shouldn't the hearings be held by the judiciary committee and not the intelligence? .. But I guess bug eyed Schiff wouldn't be able to run the shitshow if that were the case ..It'd be the penguin, Nadler at the helm, whose (ehem) "impeachment hearings" were a dismal failure and accomplished absolutely nothing for months, ever since they began after the failure of the Mueller report and his pitiful testimony
Quote :
And then' the Constitution provides the Senate with the power to try impeachments, acting as a court to consider evidence, hear witnesses and determine whether the impeached person should be convicted.
You left out the part where the house votes based on the articles of impeachment discovered by the inquiry investigation ..Also the part where republicans, besides hearing witnesses, can cross examine them and also call their own to testify

it's a prosses.
ha ..Thanx for divulging all this info for me

Clinton's inquiry wasn't behind closed doors ..the hearings were televised ..So were Nixon's, FWIW

It's true that a vote isn't a specific requirement under the constitution but under house *precedent* it Would be a rule, since there was a vote in every other case of impeachments preceding this one ..same with the hearings being held publicly

That's the point, ..dems are making their own/new rules as they go ..I wonder if it'll be cool with the dems if republicans do the same if it ever goes to a trial ...but I suspect they're afraid to pull the trigger on impeachment, as they should be

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump
Republicans are totally deprived of their rights in this Impeachment Witch Hunt. No lawyers, no questions, no transparency! The good news is that the Radical Left Dems have No Case. It is all based on their Fraud and Fabrication!
Adam Schiff @RepAdamSchiff
Here are the actual facts:
Republican Members and their counsel are present for all committee depositions and hearings and have the same opportunity to ask questions of all the witnesses as the Majority.
And rest assured, the public will learn the facts.
((((((California Democratic Rep. Adam Schiff says in a letter to colleagues that investigators will unveil the transcripts when “it will not jeopardize” the investigation. Schiff says he expects to hold public hearings, but isn’t saying who the witnesses might be. Republicans attending the private depositions have complained about the sessions' secrecy and claimed Democrats have run them unfairly.
Democrats say secrecy is needed to prevent witnesses from coordinating their stories.)))

Subject: -- FOX News Brian Kilmeade Shocked !! Fri Jan 03, 2020 8:00 pm
Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade confessed Monday that the latest Fox News poll, showing more than half of Americans supporting impeachment, left him “stunned”— seeing as it doesn’t support his preferred narrative that sentiments are “trending away” from impeachment.
In a survey released on Sunday, Fox News found that 50 percent of voters want the president impeachment and removed from office, with an additional 4 percentage points of responders supporting impeachment but not removal. This represented a slight uptick from the network’s poll in late October when 49 percent supported impeachment and removal.
Discussing the upcoming House impeachment vote on Fox & Friends Monday morning, the overtly pro-Trump morning crew framed the process as completely partisan, prompting Kilmeade to note that a handful of House Democrats may vote against impeachment.”
After the hosts insisted that dozens of House Democrats are in peril of losing their seats over impeachment, Kilmeade then turned to the poll results, expressing 'shock' that the numbers flew in the face of everything they’ve been peddling lately.
“The Fox News poll came out, and I was stunned by this, it says 50 percent of the country want the president impeached,” he exclaimed. (The survey, in fact, says half of the public wants Trump impeachment and removed.)
“I was stunned to see that that’s the number,” Kilmeade added.
