She was convicted of crimes ...The subpoena she "ignored" was from a grand jury, and not a kangaroo congress of clowns holding private hearings on a faux impeachment

I'd luv to see them arrest somebody for not showing up for their little private shitshow ...I suggest they'd be pardoned before they ever made it to a jail cell

BTW, are you familiar with "Occupy Democrats"? ...Cenk Yuger ...TYT? ...Is that really where you wanna get your info?

Susan McDougal [
The Independent Counsel indicted her on criminal charges of contempt of court and obstruction of justice.

That ^^ is what she went to prison for, these were the Only charges.

From September 9, 1996 to March 6, 1998, McDougal spent the maximum possible 18 months imprisonment for civil contempt, including 8 months in solitary confinement, and she was subjected to "diesel therapy," the practice of hauling defendants around the country and placing them in different jails along the way.

McDougal's trial for criminal charges of contempt of court and obstruction of justice began in March 1999. The jury deadlocked 7-5 in her favor on the charge of contempt of court and found her not guilty on the charge of obstruction of justice.

After her release, her embezzlement trial in California began. In 1998, McDougal was acquitted on all 12 counts.
that ^^^ was a different trial after she served her time for contempt of court and found her not guilty on the charge of obstruction of justice.

And all of trumps men are in contempt of court.
it is a crime to not answer to a subpoena, its contempt of court.

I'm not about to research the fuk'n lady ...sheesh ..AFAIK she was steamrolled and was facing a perjury trap or a contempt charge ...

..Contempt of court is a bit different than contempt of congress ...I know that congress doesn't have the power to prosecute and/or sentence anyone ..they'd need to refer the charge to a state or federal prosecutor ...probably need tiresome hearings on the matter before they even do that ...in Barr's case, maybe Gulliani's too, they can probably be granted executive privilege ...If not, Trump could just pardon them ..I don't know who you're talkin' about "all of Trump's men" besides those two

As far as the McDougal lady, she failed to answer to a grand jury subpoena, which is a serious no-no, and they were out to get her from the get-go ...Shit, congress charged AG Eric Holder with selling guns to Mexicans and a couple border agents ended up getting killed by them...It took like 10 fuk'n years to go through the red tape bullshit with him and he walked on the charges anyway ...

New York can now bring charges against presidential pardon recipients

ALBANY — Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed legislation Wednesday morning that will let New York prosecutors bring charges against individuals who have received presidential pardons for related crimes.

The bill was explicitly written to address fears that President Donald Trump might use his pardon power to interfere with criminal investigations.

“We never thought we would have to worry about a state needing to review the president’s pardon power,” Assembly sponsor Joe Lentol (D-Brooklyn) said in a statement. “However, actions today remind us that presidential powers can be used with bad intentions.”

The federal Supreme Court has found that the constitutional prohibition on double jeopardy does not apply to the states. It does not bar state prosecutors from bringing charges against individuals who have already been tried on similar federal crimes. However, New York’s existing law included additional safeguards that prohibited these second trials.

“States have a right to pursue crimes that are state crimes that took place within their jurisdiction,” Senate sponsor Todd Kaminsky (D-Nassau) said earlier this year. “New York has written that out because of this loophole.”

The bill was authored by then-Attorney General Eric Schneiderman last year after the FBI raided the house of former Trump attorney Michael Cohen, one of many presidential associates who have done business in New York.
Current Attorney General Tish James made it a campaign priority and helped push it through the Legislature earlier this year. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is a focus of federal investigators for potential lobbying violations.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Manhattan is reportedly probing his dealings in Ukraine as Trump's personal lawyer that have also become central to the Democrat-led impeachment investigation.

The changes will only apply to cases that have yet to hit various points in the judicial process such as the first trial juror being sworn in, so they will not subject people like Cohen to new charges.

"This critical new law closes a gaping loophole that could have allowed any president to abuse the presidential pardon power by unfairly granting a pardon to a family member or close associate and possibly allow that individual to evade justice altogether,” James said in a release Wednesday.
“No one is above the law, and this commonsense measure will provide a reasonable and necessary check on presidential power today and for all presidents to come."
