| Key impeachment witness Vindman fired from White House jobBy Kaitlan Collins, CNN Updated 4:05 PM ET, Fri February 7, 2020 Washington (CNN)Lt. Col. Alex Vindman, the top Ukraine expert at the National Security Council, was pushed out of his role Friday months earlier than expected, according to a statement from his attorney. Vindman was not slated to leave until July, but had been telling colleagues in recent weeks he would likely leave soon. It was not his decision to leave, however, according to one person familiar with the situation. President Donald Trump has continued to fume privately about Vindman's testimony during the impeachment inquiry, and some Democrats say the move is clearly retribution for it. Vindman is expected to return to the Pentagon, though it's still unclear what his assignment will be until he's expected to attend war college this summer. "We welcome back all of our service members, wherever they serve, to any assignment they are given," Defense Secretary Mark Esper said Friday when asked about Vindman's expected ouster. This story is breaking and will be updated. Video at https://www.cnn.com/2020/02/07/politics/alex-vindman-donald-trump-impeachment/index.html

they came forth to tell the truth.. knowing they would face the revenge trump put on them. they, not once, showed hate towards trump.. they answered the question they did not give opinion speeches. Not one has stood and talked hate towards trump just the truth that they knew. |

The "truth" is that neither of them had any evidence of any crimes committed .. The "truth" is that there never shoulda been an impeachment inquiry ...They pandered to the democrats in their efforts to impeach and get rid of Trump
Vidman played a large part and was at the crux of the whistleblower complaint ... Sondland's testimony was based on his *presumption* that Trump did or said something wrong

So they knew that siding with democrats in their bumbling attempt to remove Trump would lead to being fired and they did so anyway ... So what's the fuk'n problem?

They did not side with democrats.. they were lawfully subpoenaed. they honored their subpoena as by law. they appear under oath to tell the truth. to say ''siding'' goes to show your stupidity. |

haha ..Are you tryin' to say that there weren't 2 *sides* in the impeachment, or that it was bipartisan? ..It was straight down party lines, in case that somehow escaped you ..so yes, they both chose the *side* of the democrats' endeavor to impeach and remove Trump ... They could have refused the subpoenas under executive privilege, like the others who were subpoenaed ...They were rightfully fired

| The Trump Administration Went Back On Its Promise To Protect Whistleblowers'
" Hours after Vindman, the top Ukraine expert on the National Security Council, and his twin brother were fired from their posts in the White House.
Trump told reporters hours before Vindman's departure that he was "not happy" with the official, who testified in compliance with a lawful congressional subpoena. Trump's comment came days after White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham said the president believes "people should pay for" the way Trump was treated.
Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., offered up perhaps the most damning comment on the background of the decision, tweeting, "Allow me a moment to thank—and this may be a bit of a surprise—Adam Schiff. Were it not for his crack investigation skills, @realDonaldTrump might have had a tougher time unearthing who all needed to be fired.
Thanks, Adam! #FullOfSchiff," Trump Jr. wrote. |

| Alexander Vindman Admits Making up Parts of Trump Call SummaryLt. Col. Alexander Vindman admitted he made up elements of President Donald Trump’s call with Ukranian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an official summary. Prior to the call, Vindman included a discussion about corruption in the talking points provided to the president but Trump did not use them in the call. The summary Vindman wrote after the call read: President Trump underscored the unwavering support of the United States for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity – within its internationally recognized borders – and expressed his commitment to work together with President-elect Zelenskyy and the Ukrainian people to implement reforms that strengthen democracy, increase prosperity, and root out corruption. But Vindman clarified during his testimony that the president did not bring up the topic rooting out corruption during the phone call, but he included it in his summary of the call anyway. When asked by the Democrat counsel about whether the summary he wrote was false, Vindman hesitated. “That’s not entirely accurate, but I’m not sure I would describe it as false, it was consistent with U.S. policy,” Vindman said. Vindman said he included the rhetoric about corruption as a “messaging platform” to describe U.S. policy toward Ukraine, even though it was not discussed on the call. |

| Subject: Open Letter From a Group of More Than 1,1000 Veterans --- Tue Feb 18, 2020 6:32 pm | |
| February 18, 2020
President Donald Trump’s attacks and retaliation against impeachment witness Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman are an “an affront to the Constitution,” according to an open letter from a group of more than 1,1000 veterans made public today.
Military Times first reported on the letter.
“The President’s actions and insults towards LTC Vindman are not only wrong, they carry dangerous implications,” the group said. ` “The dismissal of LTC Vindman and his brother, also an Army Lieutenant Colonel, from the National Security Council staff appears to be motivated by nothing more than political retribution and deprives the White House of expertise necessary to defend our collective national security. `The manner of these dismissals suggests that the Commander-in-Chief has prioritized a personal vendetta over our national security.”
Vindman provided important testimony during the impeachment proceedings as a witness to Trump’s infamous July 25 call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Vindman was disturbed by Trump’s effort to induce Ukraine into launching and announcing investigations of former Vice President Joe Biden and his son.
Trump and his allies have since lashed out at Vindman and tried to undermine his credibility. The president, of course, never testified under oath in his own defense nor did he permit any witnesses to do so. Trump also called Vindman “very insubordinate.”
The letter continued:
The President’s slander of LTC Vindman, moreover, further undermines military discipline and public trust in an institution for which there are few more precious commodities.
The President’s attacks and suggestion that the Defense Department should investigate him take aim at the long-standing military code of conduct that demands that service members report wrongdoing and illegal acts through proper channels. LTC Vindman did just this. That these attacks come on the heels of President Trump’s pardoning of — and campaigning with — war criminals, his public threats of war crimes, and his minimization of Traumatic Brain Injury, a debilitating scourge on so many veterans, only compounds the implications.

It's not like the guy's career is over ..or even damaged ..He'll be assigned somewhere else .. Trump doesn't want him creepin' around the white house looking for shit to complain about ... He can get rid of anybody or -everybody- on a whim, whenever he wants .. The left can piss and moan about Vidman all they want ..it'll pass soon enough when they find somethin' else to virtue signal and bitch about |
