John Bolton Hints He’s Ready To Spill His ‘Backstory’ On White House Departure
President Donald Trump’s former National Security Adviser John Bolton says he’s ready to share the “backstory” of his departure from the White House.
Bolton took to Twitter on Friday claiming the White House had previously “suppressed” his Twitter account to prevent him from speaking out about the details surrounding his resignation in September.
“Glad to be back on Twitter after more than two months,” Bolton tweeted. “For the backstory, stay tuned........”

@AmbJohnBolton We have now liberated the Twitter account, previously suppressed unfairly in the aftermath of my resignation as National Security Advisor. More to come.....

@AmbJohnBolton Re: speaking up -- since resigning as National Security Advisor, the @WhiteHouse refused to return access to my personal Twitter account. Out of fear of what I may say? To those who speculated I went into hiding, I’m sorry to disappoint!
It wasn’t immediately clear how or why the White House would have prevented Bolton from posting on the social media platform until Friday. The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Lawmakers have called on Bolton to testify as part of the House’s impeachment inquiry into Trump. Bolton’s lawyer, Charles Cooper, has said Bolton would be willing to do so if a court rules he must, given that the White House has chosen not to cooperate with the inquiry.
In a letter to the chief House lawyer earlier this month, Cooper said Bolton knows about “many relevant meetings and conversations” surrounding Trump’s communications with Ukraine.
According to Cooper’s letter, which he provided to HuffPost, Bolton “was personally involved in many of the events, meetings, and conversations about which [lawmakers] have already received testimony, as well as many relevant meetings and conversations that have not yet been discussed in the testimonies thus far.”
Bolton was reportedly concerned about Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani’s efforts to pressure Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden, one of the Democratic frontrunners for 2020, and his son Hunter. At one point, Bolton even ordered an aide to warn White House attorneys about Giuliani’s behavior.
Bolton, however, failed to show up on Nov. 7 for his scheduled deposition by lawmakers in the impeachment inquiry. He is one of several current and former Trump administration officials who have not appeared for their closed-door depositions.
Cooper said Bolton “stands ready” to testify if courts resolve the “conflicting demands of the Legislative and Executive Branches.”

Bolton has refused to answer to his subpoena ...he's no longer in the white house .. He's free to sound off on twitter but it doesn't mean shit till he testifies under oath before congress and in jeopardy of committing a felony .. I didn't bother to read the list of his tweets

I stand corrected after watching the video Obi posted .. I thought Bolton had neglected a subpoena from the dems .. I guess they just 'asked' him and he said he didn't wanna testify

@AmbJohnBolton It probably goes without saying, that our country’s commitment to our national security priorities is under attack from within. America is distracted. Our enemies are not. We need to make U.S. national security a priority. #JohnBolton

Subject: John Bolton’s Manuscript Confirms Trump’s Bribery of Ukraine: Report Sun Jan 26, 2020 8:43 pm

John Bolton’s manuscript confirms Trump’s bribery of Ukraine: report
Former national security adviser John Bolton revealed in his manuscript that President Donald Trump told him as early as August 2019 that he wanted to continue freezing the military and security assistance to Ukraine until they could get officials to go after the Biden family.
New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman Michael Schmidt reported Sunday that the $391 million in aid to Ukraine was contingent on Ukraine officials agreeing to help “with investigations into Democrats including the Bidens.”
“The president’s statement as described by Mr. Bolton could undercut a key element of his impeachment defense: that the holdup in aid was separate from Mr. Trump’s requests that Ukraine announce investigations into his perceived enemies, including former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. and his son Hunter Biden, who had worked for a Ukrainian energy firm while his father was in office,” the report said.
Republicans have thus far refused to allow witnesses, including Bolton to speak, in the impeachment trial.
The report said that Bolton’s manuscript was sent to the White House to undergo a review process typical of past White House officials. Bolton took several dozens of pages to outline how the Ukraine incident unfolded.
He also recalled the president’s hatred of Ukraine, detailing the ways in which Trump would trash the country in front of staff. He also revealed, “senior cabinet officials who have publicly tried to sidestep involvement.”
Now we see why’ Trump blocked Bolton from testifying — and Republicans are barring witnesses:

New Bolton bombshell implicates Bill Barr in Trump’s corruption with China and Turkey: report
Yet another huge bombshell was revealed to be included in manuscript for the upcoming book by former National Security Advisor John Bolton titled The Room Where it Happened.
“John R. Bolton, the former national security adviser, privately told Attorney General William P. Barr last year that he had concerns that President Trump was effectively granting personal favors to the autocratic leaders of Turkey and China, according to an unpublished manuscript by Mr. Bolton,” New York Times correspondents Micheal Schmidt and Maggie Haberman reported Monday evening.
“Mr. Barr responded by pointing to a pair of Justice Department investigations of companies in those countries and said he was worried that Mr. Trump had created the appearance that he had undue influence over what would typically be independent inquiries, according to the manuscript. Backing up his point, Mr. Barr mentioned conversations Mr. Trump had with the leaders, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey and President Xi Jinping of China.”
The report is likely to put increased pressure on congressional Republicans to allow witnesses during Trump’s impeachment trial.
“Mr. Bolton’s account underscores the fact that the unease about Mr. Trump’s seeming embrace of authoritarian leaders, long expressed by experts and his opponents, also existed among some of the senior cabinet officers entrusted by the president to carry out his foreign policy and national security agendas,” The Times reported.
“The book also contains an account of Mr. Trump telling Mr. Bolton in August that he wanted to continue freezing $391 million in security assistance to Ukraine until officials there helped with investigations of political rivals, The New York Times reported on Sunday. The matter is at the heart of the articles of impeachment against the president,” the newspaper reported.

I course Barr will lie.. the other alternative is to confess/tell the truth. Barr is lying, not the first time.
one either tell the truth or lies..

Bribery is not one of the two articles of impeachment submitted to the senate .. If Bolton could alone prove bribery and is willing to testify, he woulda done so before the intel and/or judiciary committees during the inquiry
Dems again pull eleventh hour shit outta their ass, much like the Kavanaugh fiasco when they produced additional "victims" when they realized Blasse Ford's testimony was worthless ..It only made them look more pathetic

articles avoided the word “bribery” and instead framed Trump’s offenses as “abuse of power” and “obstruction of Congress.”
listed was “impeachable offenses.” But rather than standing on its own, bribery was lumped in there with “abuse of power.

Because the couldn't prove he bribed anyone .. otherwise they wouldn't have "avoided the word"

Do you think you're informing me of somethin'? ...I know what the articles are

"Lumped in" where? ... Bribery, *on its own* is an impeachable offense ..If they could prove bribery it would be one of the impeachment articles ... they're not limited to 2 articles .. "Abuse of power" is vague ...unspecific to be bringing to the senate for trial ...They also floated the charge of extortion ...and blackmail ... they "lumped in" somewhere too?
.. They impeach him and want him removed from office on charges with which they can't even be specific ...then they flounder for a fuk'n month after they voted to impeach ... I suggest they're just wingin' it and hoping for a last minute turd to polish ... Like Bolton's manuscript

JANUARY 29, 2020 / 10:59 AM / UPDATED 2 HOURS AGO White House tells Bolton his manuscript contains classified material, cannot be published Jeff Mason | Reuters
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House has informed former national security adviser John Bolton that his book manuscript appeared to contain “significant amounts of classified information” and could not be published in its current form.
The letter from the White House National Security Council to Bolton’s attorney, Charles Cooper, and seen by Reuters, said the manuscript contained some material that was considered “TOP SECRET” that could reasonably be expected to cause “exceptionally grave harm” to U.S. national security if disclosed without authorization.
“Under federal law and the nondisclosure agreements your client signed as a condition for gaining access to classified information, the manuscript may not be published or otherwise disclosed without the deletion of this classified information,” the letter said.
The letter, which was sent via email to Cooper, was dated Jan. 23.
The manuscript has upended the impeachment trial against Republican President Donald Trump, for whom Bolton worked.
The New York Times reported on Sunday that Trump told Bolton in August he wanted to continue to freeze $391 million in security aid to Ukraine until officials there helped with investigations into Democrats, including former Vice President Joe Biden, a Democratic presidential candidate, and his son, Hunter.
That revelation has bolstered Democrats’ push to call Bolton as a witness in the impeachment trial, in which Trump is accused of abusing his power over his dealings with Ukraine and of obstructing Congress.
The letter, signed by Ellen Knight, the senior director for records, access and information security management, said Bolton’s manuscript was still being studied.
“The manuscript remains under review in order for us to do our best to assist your client by identifying the classified information within the manuscript,” it said. “We will do our best to work with you to ensure your client’s ability to tell his story in a manner that protects U.S. national security.”
