| Man Pleasured Himself So Intensely He Tore His Lung And Needed To Go To Hospital Following the story of the man who w@nked himself to death on Valentine’s Day in South Africa, we now have another cautionary tale on the dangers of improper masturbation, this time from Switzerland.
According to Radiology Case Reports, an anonymous 20-year-old ended up in the ER after experiencing a sudden onset of sharp chest pain and shortness of breath while he was laying down in bed and tugging himself.
It turns out he was suffering from ‘spontaneous pneumomediastinum’ – a rare condition that usually affects young men in their twenties. The doctors said in their report:
[Spontaneous pneumomediastinum] can result from a variety of triggers like acute asthma exacerbation, strenuous physical exercise, excessive vomiting or violent coughing.
Or in this case… furiously w@nking, I guess. The lad was moved into intensive care after his face started swelling up and ‘crackling sounds’ started coming from his jaw, chest and elbows (wtf), but thankfully he was fit enough to move into a general ward after three days of being treated with paracetamol and antibiotics. After a few more days, he was discharged and allowed to go home.
And there we were thinking that going blind was the main thing to worry about when masturbating too much or too hard. Turns out we now have to worry about w@nker’s lung! Who knew it was such a dangerous habit?
