PostSubject: My Pillow Guy ---    My Pillow Guy --- EmptyFri Jan 15, 2021 5:30 pm

Controversial My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell was spotted entering the West Wing of the White House on Friday.

Lindell, who has pushed the conspiracy theory about election fraud that incited the deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, visited the White House hours after posting,
"Keep the faith everyone!
We will have our president Donald Trump 4 more years!"

My Pillow guy's notes on 'martial law'
captured by WaPo photographer
as he entered the West Wing.

While the entire width of the page is not visible,
it is possible to read "...
martial law if necessary upon the first hint of any."

Lindell also appears to suggest moving
former Devin Nunes aid Kash Patel to
an acting role at the Central Intelligence Agency.

China and Iran also mentioned.

READ IT-- WTF !

Dominion Voting Systems on Monday sent a cease and desist letter to
My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell over his spread of misinformation related to the 2020 election.

Why it matters: Trump and several of his allies have pushed false conspiracy theories
about the company, leading Dominion to take legal action.
It's suing pro-Trump lawyer Sydney Powell for defamation and $1.3 billion in damages, and a Dominion employee has sued Trump himself, OANN and Newsmax.

Be smart: sign up FREE for the most influential newsletter in America.

The letter also orders Lindell to "preserve and retain all documents
relating to Dominion and your smear campaign against the company."

Lindell also must preserve all communications with any member of the Trump campaign, in addition to communications with
Rudy Giuliani, Powell, Jenna Ellis and Lin Wood.

The big picture: Lindell met with Trump last week and was caught by photographers with notes referencing martial law and Sidney Powell.
The CEO has become known for
pedaling election-overturning conspiracies and last year
promoted a fake cure to the coronavirus.

What they're saying: Dominion's letter reads...
"Despite knowing your implausible attacks against Dominion
have no basis in reality,
you have participated in the vast and concerted misinformation campaign
to slander Dominion ... Litigation regarding these issues is imminent."

A spokesperson for My Pillow did not immediately return a request for comment.

MyPillow company now a ‘dumpster fire’ that ‘no brand wants to associate with’:
business expert.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has found his company publicly shunned
after he pushed the conspiracy
theories about voter fraud that resulted in the
fatal January 6th insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.

In early December, Lindell called for Republicans to overturn the election.
The businessman also spent more than $1 million bankrolling the legal efforts
to overturn the will of the voters.

Lindell has been bothered by the backlash against his company,
whining about "fake people"
getting Bed, Bath & Beyond and Kohl's to drop his company --
which has also been panned for having poor pillows.

"Companies' decisions to cut ties with MyPillow
are shaping up to be a significant blow to the controversial pillow company,"
Business Insider reports.
"Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl's confirmed this week that they are cutting ties
with MyPillow. Fintech startup Affirm told Insider it had also cut ties.
According to MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell, numerous other stores including
H-E-B, Kroger, and BJ's have told him they will no longer sell MyPillow products."

The publication interviewed Chris Alleri, the founder of brand consultancy Mulberry & Astor.

"Lindell is being dropped right and left by legitimate retailers because
he has a big mouth that has been spewing lies," Alleri said.
"No brand wants to associate with a dumpster fire like that.
Advancing a false narrative of a stolen election has consequences."

"Maybe some of Trump's deranged diehards might want to buy his products,
that's not enough to build a legitimate brand with staying power," Alleri said.
The publication also interviewed Neil Saunders, the managing director of
analytics firm GlobalData.

"The loss of these selling channels will cause some pain and will put more pressure on
the direct-to-consumer business," Saunders said. "It's also the case that distributing
through retailers widened the audience for MyPillow beyond the consumers
who digest infomercials, so the company will now need to find other ways
of reaching these potential customers."

(((I know this guy--I was forced to go 2 of his parties/ a BQ and a Christmas party.
He is weird as crap and he stinks.
really, he bent over by me to get a plate and his hair or whatever stunk
of bad insense, not good stink.
and his laugh is creepy- he is a total god ass.
And his house lookes like a mortuary-
he belongs on a farm.) BWAA! now he wont be able to afford parties
and that is a very good thing, yup)))

Twitter permanently bans My Pillow CEO for election misinformation.

(Reuters) - Twitter Inc has permanently suspended the account of My Pillow chief Mike Lindell for repeated violations of the company's policy on election misinformation, the social media firm said late on Monday.

Lindell, a devout supporter of former U.S. President Donald Trump, financed post-election protest movements in a bid to overturn the election win of President Joe Biden.

Lindell used his personal Twitter account, which had nearly half a million followers before being suspended, and the company's account to spread unsubstantiated claims of widespread voter fraud
in the presidential election.

Courts have rejected such baseless claims, even as Trump and his supporters continued to falsely allege there being voter fraud.

Lindell repeatedly violated the company's civic integrity policy, due to which he was suspended, a Twitter spokesperson said in an emailed statement. Twitter had permanently suspended Trump from its platform earlier this month.

The founder and Chief Executive Officer of the My Pillow company, Lindell's political commentary and advertisements are a regular fixture on conservative media.

A self-described former cocaine addict and alcoholic who says he found sobriety through Christianity, Lindell helped sponsor a two-week March for Trump bus tour that ended in Washington on Dec. 14 and spoke at five stops.

He told Reuters a fortnight ago that he did not help finance subsequent trips to promote the Jan. 6 rally that devolved into riots as supporters of Trump stormed through the U.S. Capitol. []

But the Capitol riots that left five people dead, did not change his views on contesting the election.

"I'm never letting the fraud go," Lindell told Reuters then.

My Pillow did not respond to Reuters' request for comment on Twitter's suspension of Lindell's account.

MyPillow CEO released a movie pushing election fraud conspiracies, YouTube and Vimeo took it down.

Fresh off of receiving multiple Twitter bans, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell is now testing the limits of other online platforms.

On Friday, Lindell released a new documentary titled “Absolute Proof,” which claims to lay out, well, “absolute proof” of massive fraud in the 2020 U.S. Presidential election.

To be clear, Lindell’s film absolutely does not lay out proof of massive fraud in the 2020 election.

Instead, it rehashes the same tired lies and conspiracy theories that President Trump and his
high profile supporters, such as Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell, have pushed for months in their various unsuccessful legal challenges.

However, what Lindell’s film has proven is just how serious major social media platforms are taking their efforts to combat misinformation surrounding the election results, now three months out from election day.

The MyPillow CEO originally uploaded the film to Vimeo and embedded the video player on his official website. Around an hour after the film was made public, Vimeo removed “Absolute Proof” from its platform.

The video in question has been removed for violating our policies relating to the spread of misleading claims about the 2020 presidential election and its aftermath,” explained Vimeo in a statement provided to Mashable.
“There is no place on the Vimeo platform for content that does — or can — cause harm of any kind.”

Lindell quickly uploaded his film to YouTube and embedded the new version on his website.
At first, Lindell misspelled the film's title as
“Absolue Proof,” a common tactic utilized by YouTubers trying to avoid detection
by the platform’s automated content system.

However, the misspelling in the title of the film was eventually corrected. A few hours later, Lindell’s film was also removed by YouTube.

In a statement to Mashable, the Google-owned platform said, “Per our presidential election integrity policy, we remove content uploaded after the safe harbor deadline that advances false claims that widespread fraud, errors, or glitches changed the outcome of the 2020 U.S. presidential election.
We removed this video in accordance with this policy.”

Throughout the day, third parties have been consistently uploading Lindell’s film to mainstream platforms like YouTube, and they've also been removed. The video has, of course, found a home on right wing platforms like Gab, CloutHub, and Rumble.

Lindell also paid for multiple hours-long advertising spots on the conservative cable channel One America News Network (OANN), according to the network, where the film will be played in full throughout the day.

Before each airing of Lindell’s film, OANN has been broadcasting a disclaimer.

“Mr. Lindell is the sole author and executive producer of this program and is solely and exclusively responsible for its content,” says the narrator as he reads the displayed text. “This program is not the product of OAN's reporting.”

However, OANN had previously promoted Lindell's video on its social media channels. This is an odd move for a TV network that's simply broadcasting a paid infomercial.

Dominion Voting Systems, an electronic voting machine and software company whose technology was used during the 2020 election, has been a constant target of attacks from right-wing conspiracy theorists, including Mike Lindell.

In fact, Dominion has previously sent Lindell a cease and desist order over his conspiratorial claims about the company. The company has begun taking legal action against those spreading unfounded claims about the integrity of the election, including a $1.3 billion suit against Rudy Giuliani and Sidney Powell.

It’s recently been reported that Dominion Voting Systems is looking into filing a similar lawsuit against OANN for its role in spreading falsehoods about the company.

In a statement provided to Law&Crime, Thomas Clare, a legal representative for Dominion classified OANN's disclaimer as a "nice try."

"It definitely does not relieve them of liability,”
said Clare.

Lindell has been one of Trump's most fervent supporters.
In Trump's final days in office, Lindell even made a trip to the White House
to show the president the very same election fraud conspiracies he's promoting in his film.

Trump-loving MyPillow CEO slapped with
new $1.3 billion lawsuit over election lies.

Mike Lindell, the Trump-loving CEO of MyPillow, has been hit with a new $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit over his lies about the 2020 presidential election.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Dominion Voting Systems has sued Lindell for his false claims about the company conspiring to steal votes from former President Donald Trump at the behest of the Chinese government.

Lindell —
“I want Dominion to put up their lawsuit because we have 100% evidence that China and other countries used their machines to steal the election."

In its lawsuit, Dominion accuses Lindell of telling a "Big Lie" about the election being stolen from Trump as a shameless way to gin up publicity for his business.

"He is well aware of the independent audits and paper ballot recounts conclusively disproving the Big Lie," the complaint says. "But Lindell…sells the lie to this day because the lie sells pillows."

The MyPillow Guy is ‘definitely’ just the beginning: Dominion CEO promises more lawsuits.

When asked who was next on his target list, Poulos simply said, “We’re not ruling anybody out.”
But this tweet may be instructive:

The election tech company has already sued Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, “Kraken” lawyer Sidney Powell, and MyPillow CEO Lindell over their baseless claims of election conspiracy, for a total of around $4 billion since January.

But the CEO of the company at the center of debunked election fraud claims told CNBC Tuesday that Dominion’s latest lawsuit against Lindell is “definitely not the last,” and that they’re “not ruling anyone out.”

“The reputational damage alone has been devastating to us,” Dominion CEO John Poulos told CNBC.
“We are seeing untold damage unfolding every day with our customers and the effects that they are having with a lot of constituents, who unfortunately watch these videos...they can be forgiven for believing them.”

Dominion just sent letters to the social platforms asking them to preserve posts, and offered a glimpse at their target list:

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell Plans to Launch His Own Social Media Platform
NATIONAL KAYLA SARGENT MAR 10, 2021 | 4:55PM WASHINGTON, DC

Many dream of a world without the constant barrage of Big Tech censorship. Soon, a new censorship-free platform may not be confined to their dreams while resting on a MyPillow.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell announced plans to launch his own social media platform because “we’ve got to get our voices back,” he said during an interview with Charlie Kirk on The Charlie Kirk Show.

Lindell claimed that he had “a platform coming out” in “ten days. Every single influencer and person on the planet can come there. You’re going to “have a platform to speak out.” Lindell did not reveal the name of the platform.

“You will not need YouTube. You won’t need these places. So it will be where everything can be told, because we’ve got to get our voices back,” he explained.

Lindell has been an avid supporter of former President Donald Trump, and an outspoken critic of the 2020 election. Twitter banned Lindell from its platform in January for “repeated violations of our Civic Integrity Policy,” a Twitter spokesperson told MRC TechWatch.

YouTube and Vimeo censored Lindell’s docu-movie Absolute Proof, which called the results of the 2020 presidential election into question. Dominion Voting Systems has also filed a lawsuit against Lindell for defamation per se and “deceptive trade practices.” Facebook has allowed Lindell to post the video, but added a label to the bottom of the post that said: “Partly False Information. The same information was checked in another post by independent fact-checkers.”

MyPillow Guy launching site to compete with YouTube and Twitter, because sure; why not?

You have to hand it to MyPillow Guy Mike Lindell. When life hands him lemons, he eats them so fast they become deadly choking hazards. His latest nonsense?
He’s launching a new social media platform to compete with YouTube and Twitter, which for some reason no longer allow videos and tweets that could lead to the attempted violent overthrow of the U.S. government.

Lindell is already being sued by Dominion Voting Systems for $1.3 billion, he’s being deplatformed left and right, and stores are yanking his wares off the shelves faster than tainted spinach. Meanwhile, he’s the lead spokesman for his company and his name is mud.
It’s his whole “hey, let’s overthrow the government!” shtick that now weighs most heavily on his future prospects.

Of course, he still thinks Jesus is on his side, but I can pretty much guarantee Jesus would be shorting his stock if it were publicly traded.

From VICE News:

_________VOCL, (pronounced vocal) will launch in a couple of weeks, Lindell said on Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast Thursday. The tagline for the new platform is “voices of free speech,” and Lindell said it would be a combination of “print, radio, and TV.”

The new site will be a cross between Twitter and YouTube, according to Lindell, who added both other platforms would soon be obsolete once VOCL launched.
YouTube is owned by Alphabet, Google’s parent company, and Lindell seemed to be a bit confused about who was running the video hosting site.

"Jack Dorsey, and Mr. Google, they are gonna be a thing of the past as far as those two entities go because you are going to go where the people go,” Lindell ____________

Of course, because Lindell can’t be bothered to do something as simple as check prospective names for potential trademark infringement, he was threatened with a lawsuit right out of the gate.
According to The Daily Beast, a website called Vocal—“a publishing platform similar to Medium”—has threatened to sue Lindell over its trademark.

Lindell later informed The Daily Beast that
“we looked into it, and we believe it would be confusing, so we are going to announce a different name and URL by Monday.”

Okay, then. Nothing like publicly announcing a brand name and then almost immediately changing it because you didn’t do your due diligence.

We’ll see how long it takes before VOCL gets sued for irresponsibly giving voice to insurrectionists and other assorted loons. Clearly this guy hasn’t learned his lesson.
For one thing, his website is still chock-full of election theft nonsense, and he keeps adding exhibits to Dominion’s binders full of evidence.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump, on whose behalf Lindell
is throwing his life and fortune away, is just one day closer to forgetting this dude’s name.

That day will come, and then the MyPillow Guy’s failure will be complete.

Mike Lindell throws a tantrum that Fox News won't let him on air: 'Are they in on it?'

On Tuesday, speaking to far-right talk radio host Eric Metaxas, MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell tore into Fox News for refusing to let him on air to peddle his voter fraud conspiracy theories —
and demanded to know if they are "in on it."

Mike Lindell and Fox News are both the subject of defamation lawsuits by voting companies against claims they promoted about election fraud —
and Lindell seemed to be under the impression that these suits meant there was no additional legal jeopardy Fox had for inviting him on.

"I want to say one thing here, there's things that don't make sense everybody," said Lindell. "Let's just talk about Fox. "You're already sued. It's too late to close the gate, the cows are out of the barn. Why can't people go on there and say their free speech then? You're already sued, Fox! What are you have, what, are you gonna get double-sued? What's the matter with you? And I will say that straight-out, it makes me, I'm so, you know — what are they, in on it? I don't get it. Is it a fake lawsuit?"

MyPillow guy Mike Lindell tells Steve Bannon he’s hired PI’s to investigate Fox News.

MyPillow founder and purveyor of the "Big Lie" about the 2020 presidential election, Mike Lindell, once again appeared on former Trump senior advisor Steve Bannon's streaming show and was forced to defend why Fox News no longer allows him on their air.

"Why is Michael Lindell not on Fox and why is,
why do they seem to say, 'Hey, when Dominion says something we're just gonna shut up about it and talk about Biden's tax bill?' Bannon asked Lindell.

"Well you know I'm going to have those answers too because I've hired private investigators, and I've spent a lot of money on them to investigate everything," Lindell insisted.

"Why, why are the bots and trolls? Who's behind them? What, you know, why is Facebook involved? Wikipedia involved? And then the big question:
Why isn't Fox having people on why isn't Fox on there talking about, you know, Dominion and Smartmatic and the election?"

The fact that Dominion is suing Lindell in a $1.3 billion defamation case, and suing Fox News in a $1.6 billion defamation case, may offer some answers. Smartmatic is also suing Fox News, in a $2.7 billion lawsuit.

“All the evidence I have," Lindell promised last month, "everything is going to go before the Supreme Court and the election of 2020 is going bye-bye."

“Donald Trump will be back in office in August," he added.

Trump-loving MyPillow CEO draws howls of laughter over
his plan to be 'a rival to Amazon'.  ((<-- HAHAA!

Trump-loving MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell may soon be on the hook for
more than $1 billion thanks to a defamation lawsuit
filed by Dominion Voting Systems --
but that's not stopping him from trying to take on
one of the world's most powerful tech companies.

During an appearance on Steve Bannon's "War Room: Pandemic" show,
Lindell revealed that he's creating a website called "MyStore"
that he described as "a rival to Amazon."

Being a legitimate competitor with Amazon doesn't just involve setting
up a website, of course, as Amazon has spent decades investing
in building out its warehouse and shipping infrastructure
to become the most used e-commerce platform in the United States.

To say that Lindell's ambitions to take on Amazon elicited skepticism
would be an understatement, as Twitter users openly laughed at him for his
belief that he can dethrone Jeff Bezos.

Tech experts explain why Mike Lindell's botched social site was doomed to fail.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell's social media site FRANK is facing ridicule from the community of "grandmasters" around the content management software Drupal, who say Lindell's site was destined to fail from the start because his developers failed to take "elementary" coding steps to limit attacks from outside forces.

Since its supposed "VIP launch" last Thursday night, Lindell's platform has experienced numerous crashes, and at this writing on Thursday evening the site remains down.

Drupal's site explains that its software is "used to make many of the websites and applications you use every day. Drupal has great standard features, like easy content authoring, reliable performance, and excellent security."
Drupal is open source, meaning that anyone can download it or modify it as they please — but it helps if they know what they're doing.

Speaking to Salon on Thursday afternoon about Lindell's site, one "Acquia Certified Drupal Grand Master," who oversees a technology firm that employs numerous other "grandmasters," said that Lindell's site was set up for failure from its inception, noting that its developers —
whom Lindell compared to Navy SEALs — had failed to carry out basic "Drupal 101" tasks.

One coder who spoke to Salon in great detail explained the potential shortcomings of the pillow maven's program code and the patchy work done by his developer team.

"Drupal can power high powerful websites, sites with lots of traffic," the expert said, adding that it isn't the right software to build a social media site with, since it's not designed to handle a large amount of user-generated content.
"Lindell's website was basically trying to make soup for scratch for everybody," said the expert, who claimed more than 25 years of experience in the IT field.

"In my professional opinion, it will be extremely unlikely, if not impossible, for Lindell to accomplish his vision with Drupal and his own servers."

"Despite how much I love it, Drupal simply isn't the right tool for the number of users with the features that he wants to provide. It would take a massive effort of 12 to 18 months to build out the needed hosting setup and application architecture, and this would come with an enormous degree of risk.

The idea that he could do this in just a couple of months is patently absurd, and I think the results speak for themselves."

The team of "grandmasters" were granted anonymity by Salon due to the sensitive nature of their employment and the risk of being doxxed by Lindell's supporters.

"When I was looking at the code, in the browser, they basically launched the site while it was still in development mode,"
citing the fact that developers had failed to check a box to aggregate files on the platform as the first red flag he ran across.

"Their files were not aggregated, and by the way, that's a check box in Drupal — you literally check a box and click save, My jaw dropped when I saw that. I was like, 'They did not try to launch this thing without aggregation turned on!'"

The second major red flag another Drupal expert found was that Lindell's site was spitting out coded error messages to users, which leaves the platform vulnerable to attacks.

"This is a shit show," the expert said, calling this an "obvious" issue that coders learn how to prevent in "Drupal 101." Other "grandmasters" poked fun at the developers' mistakes, which were described as "extremely obvious" and juvenile in nature.

One expert concluded that, based on the evidence, Lindell's developer team was inexperienced and lacked basic knowledge, and described the output of the pillow magnate's alleged 10-person staff as "not even student work."

Lindell did not respond to numerous requests for comment from Salon for this story.

---PILLOW GUY BANNED---

5-5-2021

Vimeo wishes Mike Lindell ‘best of luck’
after banning him from its platform.

Video hosting and sharing platform Vimeo has just banned Trump ally and MyPillow founder Mike Lindell, but they wish him the "best of luck in finding a hosting platform better suited to your needs."

"This is worse than what Twitter did to me and my company!" Lindell told The Daily Beast.
"This affects my business, the Lindell Recovery Network, and the entrepreneurs who I work with."

Lindell has been one of the top spreaders of falsehoods, misinformation, and conspiracy theories on the 2020 election and the coronavirus pandemic.

"Your account was terminated for violating Vimeo's Terms of Service…and Community Guidelines," Vimeo told Lindell, according to a screenshot of an email he shared with The Daily Beast.
"We do not allow accounts that upload content created by or mainly featuring a banned user. As the purpose of your account is to promote content from a banned user, it has been removed."

In March Lindell told former Trump White House advisor Steve Bannon that the former president would be back in the Oval office by August.

The DNC is reportedly preparing for a potential 2024 presidential run from MyPillow's Mike Lindell
Brendan Morrow
Wed, May 5, 2021, 6:34 AM

It looks like the Democratic National Committee is getting ready for a possible pillow fight in 2024.

The DNC has "has quietly assembled a core team" that's looking ahead to the 2024 presidential election, and not long after President Biden's inauguration, it "started gathering 'oppo' on over 20 Republican politicians and has identified 49 GOPers who could run," Politico reports.

Evidently, they have their eye on a "wide range of people," not just the possible candidates you'd expect like Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), but also "unconventional candidates" — like MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell.

"DNC officials believe social media has made the barrier to entry lower for presidential candidates and that there will be a crowded field again if Trump doesn't run," Politico writes. Fox News host Tucker Carlson is also reportedly one of these "unconventional" candidates the DNC has identified.

Lindell has been repeatedly pushing false allegations of voter fraud in the wake of the 2020 presidential election, and he's even claimed that former President Donald Trump "will be back in office in August." The pillow magnate "has told associates" that Trump "is encouraging him to run for governor of Minnesota" in 2022, Politico reported last year.

Still, a 2024 presidential run by Lindell might appear unlikely, especially given the possibility that Trump himself seeks another term. But even if there's a small chance, it seems the DNC doesn't want to be asleep at the wheel.

Mike Lindell may be attempting an 'insanity defense' after latest attacks on Dominion: ex-prosecutor.

Controversial MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell's legal strategy was questioned on Saturday after he made an appearance on Steve Bannon's podcast.

"Either way Steve, I want to say this, I'll give Dominion [Voting Systems] a little scare this morning. Dominion, we have machines now, I do. I have machines, we have ES&S [Election Systems & Software] machines, we got them all and we're going to being putting out so much information over the next couple of weeks," Lindell said.

Dominion is suing Lindell for $1.3 billion for defaming the company with his conspiracy theories that Trump won the election. The company has reportedly been building a "legal
Lincoln Project senior advisor Jeff Timmer offered his analysis of where the case is headed.

"Lindell is doing his best to ensure Dominion's lawsuit against him will be the first civil case ever to result in the death penalty," he joked.

Former Southern District of New York prosecutor Richard Signorelli offered his own analysis.

"Lindell may be the first civil defendant to be able to successfully assert an insanity defense," he said.

Of course, an insanity defense is not allowed in a civil trial, which also can not result in a death penalty. But the jokes highlight the how some are viewing Lindell choosing to continue to push the "Big Lie" of election fraud that incited the January 6th insurrection and resulted in Trump's second impeachment.

Mike Lindell says Elvis meeting with Nixon was a 'miracle' from Jesus —
then begs to be sued by Dominion.

During the Bikers for Trump rally in South Carolina Sunday, My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell gave an hour-long meandering speech highlighting his history as a crack addict who found Jesus and became a millionaire pillow manufacturer.

"What is this ex-crack addict sitting next to the president? Jesus is real!" Lindell told the crowd.

Lindell went through a list of other things he thought were miracles from God, including a photo he saw of former President Richard Nixon shaking hands with Elvis Presley.

The photo he's referencing goes back to an unannounced visit Elvis paid to Nixon while in Washington after the musical decided on a whim, Smithsonian Magazine reported.

Elvis told Nixon that he wanted an honorary badge to be a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) officer. Then, the department was referred to as the Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs. Nixon complied and handed Elvis the badge, but what followed wasn't exactly a miracle. Nixon not only resigned in disgrace, but Elvis spent the time that followed acting as an actual law enforcement officer against people he didn't like.

"With the federal narcotics badge, he [believed he] could legally enter any country both wearing guns and carrying any drugs he wished," wrote Priscilla Presley in her memoir, Elvis and Me.

Elvis' note to Nixon said that he'd be staying in Washington until he could get the badge.

Lindell went on to say that another miracle was that Dominion Voting Systems sued him for $1.3 billion because it drew more attention to him. He went so far as to imply that he intentionally attacked the company to garner news coverage.

"To get back in the news again, I want Dominion to sue me," said Lindell.

It's unclear what he's talking about as Dominion Voting Systems announced their lawsuit against Lindell in February.

The Wall Street Journal reported at the time that the legal complaint says, "He is well aware of the independent audits and paper ballot recounts conclusively disproving the Big Lie. But Lindell…sells the lie to this day because the lie sells pillows."

At the time, Lindell claimed he was excited by the lawsuit because
"I have all the evidence on them."
It has been several months and Lindell still hasn't shown that evidence.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell and the Corn Palace in Mitchell, South Dakota.
Some Mike Lindell fans reportedly stood in line for 7 hours to watch his rally at the Corn Palace - but when the event started, the venue was half empty

Mike Lindell held a rally in South Dakota on Monday to speak about his voter-fraud website, Frank.

The Dickinson Press reported that guests stood in line for hours - but the venue was only half full.

Ben Carson and Eric Metaxas spoke at the event, while Joe Piscopo performed a music set.

Supporters of MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell were said to have stood in line for hours to attend his rally in South Dakota on Monday - but the Corn Palace venue was only half full for the event.

Lindell held the rally to launch Frank, the website that he billed as a social-media site but that so far has been a one-way platform for him to spread baseless allegations of voter fraud.

Photos shared on Twitter show lines snaking around the Corn Palace in Mitchell. The Dickinson Press reported that some people stood in line for up to seven hours for the free event, which let people in on a first-come, first-served basis.

Some guests said they came from neighboring states, including Minnesota and Nebraska, while others came from as far away as Texas, the publication reported.

The Corn Palace's director, Doug Greenway, told Insider's Kevin Shalvey that he had fielded calls from dozens of people interested in attending the event.

The venue fits about 3,000 people, and photos on Twitter suggest it was about half full for the event.

Lindell, a close ally of former President Donald Trump, has repeatedly pushed disproven voter-fraud conspiracy theories about the presidential election, prompting the voting-machine company Dominion to sue him for $1.3 billion.

Some attendees at Monday's event brought along Trump merchandise, including hats and flags. Salon.com's Zachary Petrizzo reported that a group of far-right Proud Boy members attended, citing a source at the event.

The event featured talks from Ben Carson, Trump's secretary of housing and urban development, who joined on video call, and the conservative podcaster Eric Metaxas. The comedian Joe Piscopo of "Saturday Night Live" fame performed a music set, which included the national anthem.

This was followed by a 90-minute speech from Lindell, who spread voter-fraud theories including an inflated estimate of Trump's vote total in the 2020 presidential election, per Newsweek. The Federal Election Commission says Trump got just over 72 million votes.

Attendees received a free copy of both Lindell's autobiography and his self-made film "Absolute Proof," which alleges fraud in the 2020 election.

Mitchell has a population of about 15,000, but Lindell said he chose the location partially because of the South Dakota GOP governor's resistance to COVID-19 lockdown measures.

His Corn Palace rally was sandwiched between a Dakota Wesleyan University graduation ceremony and an event by the American Corn Hole Association.

Frank failed to fully launch

Lindell announced plans to launch his own social-media site in March after Twitter barred him. He billed the site as a "YouTube-Twitter combination."

But it was hit by multiple delays, technical problems, and what Lindell described as "the biggest attack ever" before Frank ultimately launched as a one-way channel in April.

The site features videos and articles, many written by Lindell, that largely focus on voter-fraud conspiracy theories. Some also spread misinformation about the coronavirus, with one article calling vaccines "a deadly depopulation bioweapon."

Lindell regularly livestreams from the site, hosting other right-wing personalities.

Mike Lindell lawyer quickly booted from law firm after filing lawsuit against Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic.

On Thursday, controversial MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell filed a lawsuit against Dominion Voting Systems and Smartmatic.

Lindell hyped the case as having the potential to overturn the 2020 election, which Joe Biden won, and reinstate Trump in office.

As Reuters court reporter Brad Heath noted, there is zero potential for the case to overturn the 2020 election.

Heath reported Lindell has "boasted that this suit will prompt the Supreme Court to overturn the election, 9-0. It won't, because 1) he sued private parties that don't have the power to do that even if the court ordered it and; 2) he's only seeking monetary damages."

On Thursday, Heath noted the "complaint was signed by a partner at a big firm." But that was not the case on Friday after the lawyer revealed to the court that the firm was no longer involved.

Alec Beck, formerly of Barnes & Thornburg LLP in Minneapolis, traded his firm's contact info for a PO Box and Gmail account.

Here is how Beck identified himself one day earlier:

Beck's page on the Barnes & Thornburg website was no longer functional as of publication, although Archive.org shows that it was still up when the lawsuit was filed.

In a statement, the law firm said: "Late last night, firm management became aware of the filing of the complaint, which was done without receiving firm authorization pursuant to internal firm approval procedures.
While the firm cannot comment substantively on pending matters, the firm is immediately taking the requisite steps to withdraw as local counsel in this matter and end the client relationship. The attorney representing the client in this matter is no longer with the firm."
