A Thanksgiving Song

I heard this song is a Thanksgiving tradition for many fellow Americans.

Always thought this was a rather peculiar song, dare I call it that, more like a storytelling to me.

National Thanksgiving Proclamation

The National Thanksgiving Proclamation was the first formal proclamation of Thanksgiving in the United States.

President George Washington declared Thursday, November 26, 1789 as a day of public thanksgiving and prayer.
