| REVEALED: Biden sold 1 MILLION barrels of oil from US Strategic Reserves to Chinese company Hunter Biden invested in In 2015, a private equity firm cofounded by Hunter Biden bought a stake in the Sinopec Marketing valued at $1.7 million. Jul 7, 2022 6:01 PM EST
Following Wednesday’s news that millions of barrels of oil released from America’s Strategic Petroleum Reserves were shipped overseas to China, India, and Europe, it has been revealed that nearly one million barrels of oil were sent to a Chinese energy company in which President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, had a stake as recently as 2015.
On Wednesday, Reuters revealed that more than five million barrels of crude oil that were expected to be put into use in the US to bring down skyrocketing prices at the pump were instead sent to European nations, India, as well as China.
In April, the Biden administration announced that 950,000 Strategic Petroleum Reserve barrels would be sold to Unipec, the trading arm of the China Petrochemical Corporation. Formerly known as Sinopec, this company is wholly owned by the Chinese government, according to the Washington Free Beacon.
The sales of these barrels, as well as others as part of the sales of 30 million barrels in total, "will support American consumers and the global economy in response to Vladimir Putin’s war of choice against Ukraine," the Department of Energy said in a statement, as well as "address the pain Americans are feeling at the pump as a result of Putin’s Price Hike and to help lower energy costs."
Speaking with the Washington Free Beacon, Power the Future founder Daniel Turner blasted the Biden administration for selling "raw materials to the Communist Chinese for them to use as they want."
"We were assured Biden was releasing this oil to America so it could be refined for gasoline to drive down prices at the pump. So right off the bat, they're just lying to the American people," Turner told the Washington Free Beacon. "What they're saying they did and what they did are not remotely related."
Turner noted that the decision to sell to Unipec highlights the Biden family's "relationship with China." In 2015, a private equity firm cofounded by Hunter Biden bought a stake in the Sinopec Marketing valued at $1.7 million.
According to the Washington Free Beacon, "Sinopec went on to enter negotiations to purchase Gazprom in March, one month after the Biden administration sanctioned the Russian gas giant."
In addition, Unipec has stated it would purchase "no more Russian oil going forward" once "shipments that have arrived in March and due to arrive in April" were fulfilled, but it was revealed that in May, the company "significantly increased the number of hired tankers to ship a key crude from eastern Russia," according to Bloomberg.

| Much of Biden’s Oil Release Will End Up in China, India.
Supplies will consist of_ sour crude U.S. refiners are shunning
Asian countries have been active buyers of U.S. sour crude.
A large portion of the barrels that will be offered from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve will likely be exported to China and India, traders said.
That’s because the supplies will consist of sour crude, a type of oil that U.S. refiners are shunning due to its high sulfur content, which makes it more expensive to process.
For some foreign buyers, though, U.S. sour crude is attractive because it’s much cheaper than the global Brent benchmark.
China and India have been actively buying U.S. sour crude produced in the Gulf of Mexico. So, it’s easy to see why New Delhi and Beijing agreed to participate in the coordinated reserves release led by U.S. President Joe Biden.

| Biden is an idiot then for sure - what a swell idea, to dump higher polluting crude oil to countries that could care less about producing a quality product.
I guess Biden forgot about his "climate change" agenda. |

| This thread got pushed down and I'd forgotten it - Quote :

Likely? .. A large portion? .. What about the other portion? - Quote :
That’s because the supplies will consist of sour crude, a type of oil that U.S. refiners are shunning due to its high sulfur content, which makes it more expensive to process Does that mean refineries *can't afford* to refine sour crude oil or they just don't make as much money by refining it? .. I would think that sour crude being abundant and "much cheaper" that it would offset the expense of refining it Reading about Venezuela a while back, i read that their oil is "dirty oil" (they called it) which is sour crude, which made Venezuela the richest country in South America from their oil exports alone in the early Chavez years ..and gas is still dirt cheap there even under Maduro's corrupt rule ..so obviously Venezuela can manage to refine their oil ... But the U.S. can't? Also, i read that much of sour crude is used primarily for heating oil and diesel fuel, yet the prices of those have skyrocketed even higher than gasoline ..So what's the reason for that if sour crude is so much cheaper? Venezuela (citizens) are dirt poor and starving due to socialism and the corrupt government .. I'm starting to see a similarity |

| Trump's allies want Biden investigated for selling oil reserves to China even though Trump did the same thing in 2017. Records show the Trump administration sold 550,000 barrels of crude oil to PetroChina that year.
While former President Donald Trump and his allies have been blasting the Biden administration for selling oil to China, reports show that Trump did the same thing in 2017 while in the White House.
In Trump's first year as president, the Department of Energy sold 550,000 barrels from the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve — or SPR — to PetroChina, a state-owned energy giant and China's largest oil producer, Axios' Sophia Cai first reported.
Reuters and S&P Global reports show that the 2017 deal was made for $28.8 million, priced at $52.30 per barrel.
A press release from the Department of Energy also confirms that PetroChina was one of the buyers of American oil in 2017.

| I'm well aware that Trump sold oil to China...I'm also aware that the U.S. was pumping oil from its own grounds at the time and that gas and diesel were about *half* the average price they are now.. .. As always and with everything you make it all about Trump Trump Trump ...or yourself of course
I brought up several points and didn't once critisize or so much as mention Biden or any of his colossal fuckups...yet you rush to his defense with more of your incessant Orange Man Bad crap ... Obviously you can't help yourself and are hopelessly fixated into it, unable to have a normal thought of your own... So you mize well just go fuck yaself ..

| The U.S. had been exporting at least some crude oil and petroleum products to China and other nations for years. “The government’s role is to supply oil to a market that needs it. It’s irrelevant where it goes as long as it’s going into the market,” De Haan said.
Furthermore, the U.S. already exports plenty of oil to other countries, including China, and has done so for years. Annual exports of crude oil have averaged around 3 million barrels per day since 2019.

| GOP Accuses Biden Admin of Stonewalling Hunter Biden, Obama W.H. Communications Martin Walsh, July 28, 2022
Republicans are demanding access to communication records between President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, and the Obama White House.
“The top Republican on the House Oversight Committee pressed Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen for information on the shady foreign dealings of first son Hunter Biden — accusing the White House of thwarting the panel’s probe in order to protect the president,” the New York Post reported.
“Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.) claimed in a letter to Yellen that the Biden administration may be preventing the release of suspicious activity reports related to Hunter Biden. The reports, known as SARs, are generated by banks that flag suspiciously large transactions and are meant to guard against money laundering,” the outlet added.
“The Biden Administration is restricting Congress’ access to SARs, and Committee Republicans are investigating whether this change in longstanding policy is motivated by efforts to shield Hunter Biden and potentially President Biden from scrutiny,” Comer wrote. “Though the Committee requested documents and information ‘no later than June 8, 2022,’ the Department of the Treasury has provided no documents or information.”
Prior to that, several Republican members of the House Oversight Committee penned a letter and sent it to the Biden Administration demanding they be given access to any and all communication records between Hunter Biden and the Obama White House.
In the letter, the Republicans said that Hunter must be investigated amid concerns that “he is continuing to profit off” his father’s name.
“Hunter Biden’s connections throughout the Russian sphere of influence have now become especially relevant in the fast-moving and developing Russian war in Ukraine,” the Republicans on the House Oversight Committee said.
“Hunter Biden’s dealings have not gone unnoticed, and a Department of Justice (DOJ) probe begun under the Obama Administration has expanded to include a wide variety of potential violations and crimes. According to the New York Times, Hunter Biden is currently under investigation by the DOJ for possible violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act and possible criminal tax evasion and money laundering.
“Given Hunter Biden’s foreign business relationships in Ukraine and Russia and the current international landscape, we are concerned about whether Hunter Biden continues to profit off his status as President Biden’s son as well as whether foreign adversaries may be attempting to exploit questionable business dealings. NARA may possess documents relevant to this investigation from then-Vice President Biden’s tenure,” they said.
The letter calls out Joe Biden and accuses him of lying about his involvement in Hunter’s business dealings. The lawmakers said that “the evidence is now clear” that he wasn’t just aware, he was likely involved.
They requested:
All documents and communications between the Executive Office of the President or Office of the Vice President and members or associates of the Biden family referring or relating to Russia or Ukraine from January 20, 2009, to January 20, 2017;
All documents and communications from or within the Executive Office of the President or Office of the Vice President referring to Elena Baturina or Yuri Luzhkovfrom January 20, 2009, to January 20, 2017; All documents and communications in the custody of NARA referring or relating to Hunter Biden and Ukraine or Hunter Biden and Russia; and
All documents and communications between then-Vice President Biden’s office and any State Department employee referring or relating to Hunter Biden and his business dealings in Russia and/or Ukraine.
“The Biden family has for decades profited from Joe Biden’s positions of public trust. Hunter Biden has particularly benefitted from his father’s success in politics, from managing a Ukrainian energy conglomerate to selling cobalt mines in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to connecting his father to Kazakhstani oil oligarchs, and preventing a Romanian real estate tycoon’s conviction for bribery charges,” they said. |

| Hunter’s Business Partner ‘In Talks’ To Testify On Biden Bribery Scheme After Subpoena
By Cullen McCue, Updated: June 16, 2023 Hunter Biden’s former business partner Devon Archer is reportedly in talks with the House Oversight Committee to testify about his knowledge of the alleged bribery scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden and the Ukrainian gas giant Burisma. An FD-1023 form compiled by a “highly credible” FBI source alleges that Biden was paid $10 million by a former Burisma executive in a quid pro quo understanding to have Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating the company, fired. On Monday, the House Oversight Committee subpoenaed Devon Archer and demanded that he testify Friday. Archer is in talks to comply with the subpoena but is requesting a later deposition, according to a report from Breitbart News. Archer is a longtime business partner of the president’s troubled son, Hunter, and has long been embroiled in the investigations into the Biden family’s business dealings with foreign nationals. Beginning in 2014, Archer is widely believed to have helped Hunter Biden secure his position on the board of Burisma while his father was serving as vice president. In one email to Archer dated April 13, 2014, Hunter Biden refers to “my guy’s upcoming travels,” one week before his father visited Ukraine as vice president. “It was an uncharacteristically sophisticated email, listing 22 points about Ukraine’s political situation, with detailed analysis of the upcoming election and anticipating an escalation of Russia’s ‘destabilization campaign,’” reported the New York Post. Archer has faced his own legal woes in recent years. He was convicted of defrauding a Native American tribe in 2022 after a lengthy appeals process and is currently awaiting sentencing. In 2019, Hunter Biden told Archer that he was being persecuted simply because he is a member of the Biden family. “Every great family is persecuted and prosecuted in the US — you are part of a great family — not a side show not deserted by them even in your darkest moments,” he said. “That’s the way Bidens are different and you are a Biden. It’s the price of power.” The latest news comes as the investigation into the Biden family’s business dealings reaches new levels of intensity. Earlier this week, Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) revealed that a foreign national had recorded 17 conversations with the Biden family — 15 with Hunter and two with then-President Biden — in which the bribery scheme was detailed. The foreign national has since been identified as Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky, according to a report from The Federalist. Zlochevsky was reportedly terrified by the election of Donald Trump in 2016 as he worried that he would open an investigation into the Biden family’s business dealings, the FD-1023 form reportedly lays out. The Burisma executive then told the “highly credible” FBI source that he was holding on to the recordings as an “insurance policy.”
