| Rep. Liz Cheney loses Wyoming GOP primary to Trump-backed challenger  Rep. Liz Cheney, the vice chair of the House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol and a leading figure in the Republican effort to hold former President Trump accountable, was defeated in the GOP primary for the Wyoming congressional district she’s represented since 2017.
The three-term congresswoman lost to Harriet Hageman, a lawyer who has worked to block federal regulations in Wyoming and who was endorsed by Trump.
Surrounded by family and supporters near Jackson, Wyo., on Tuesday night, Cheney said she had conceded to Hageman, who was ahead in early returns by more than 25 percentage points.
Trump congratulated Hageman and swiped at Cheney in a message he posted on his social media platform late Tuesday.
"This is a wonderful result for America, and a complete rebuke of the Unselect Committee of political Hacks and Thugs," he wrote, referring to the House committee investigating Jan. 6. "Liz Cheney should be ashamed of herself, the way she acted, and her spiteful, sanctimonious words and actions towards others. Liz Cheney releases the recording that proves her rival lied
on Fox News about concession call.
A recording reveals Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) did, in fact,
concede her election loss to a Donald Trump-backed challenger.
Cheney rival Harriet Hageman claimed Wednesday night on Sean Hannity's Fox News program that Cheney left a "very brief two-second message" on her cell phone after losing in Tuesday's Republican primary, but an audio recording provided by the lawmaker's campaign shows otherwise, reported Politico.
\u201cEXCLUSIVE: I obtained audio from the Cheney campaign of the concession voicemail Rep. Liz Cheney left for Harriet Hageman last night.
The audio contradicts the narrative Hageman gave on Hannity tonight that she address any kind of concession or anything else.

“Hi, Harriet, it is Liz Cheney calling,” Cheney says in the recording.
Liz Cheney;
“It is about 8:13 on Tuesday the 16th. I’m calling to concede the election and congratulate you on the win. Thanks.”
Hageman claimed to Hannity that Cheney said only__
"Hi, Harriet," and her campaign spokesperson provided a video of a phone playing
a message that says only that.

| I'm wondering ... Will Liz Chaney be staring in the sequel or next season of The January 6th Get-Trump-Committee prime time, all network, made for TV show?... I'll be riveted ... I bet she gets her own show.. Go on Opra a couple times ... Ellen .. The View ..then her own talk show.. Mostly talk about Trump ..which would open endless, in depth conversations about the hated life and miserable times of Donald Trump, the fat orange man that jeopardised our democracy .. May he eat shit and die ....lol  |
