House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) has given Fox News host Tucker Carlson exclusive access to 41,000 hours of Capitol surveillance footage from January 6th, 2021, according to Axios, which reports that excerpts will begin airing in the coming weeks.

On Monday evening, Fox News host Tucker Carlson confirmed that he and his team of producers have been given access to over 44,000 hours of footage from January 6th by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy. Furthermore, he said that the footage they’ve seen already proves that we’ve been lied to over what really happened that day in Washington D.C.

“So for really more than 2 years now we’ve been complaining about the fact that the U.S. Congress has held thousands, tens of thousands of hours of camera footage from the public from January 6th. And of course, January 6th has been a transformative event in this country, it’s been used to change the country. So there are about 44,000 hours and we have been granted access to that, we believe we have secured the right to see whatever we want to see,” Tucker began.

“So we’ve been there about a week, some of our smartest producers have been there looking at this stuff and trying to figure out what it means, and how it contradicts or not the story we’ve been told for more than two years. We think already that in some ways it does contradict that story,” he added before promising to release more details next week.

“We’re going to bring you what we find next week,” he concluded.

Earlier today, Axios broke the story that McCarthy handed the tapes over.

“Carlson TV producers were on Capitol Hill last week to begin digging through the trove, which includes multiple camera angles from all over Capitol grounds,” Axios reported. “Excerpts will begin airing in the coming weeks.”

Axios also noted that Carlson told them there was no reason why remaining January 6 footage should be private.

“There was never any legitimate reason for this footage to remain secret,” Carlson said.

“If there was ever a question that’s in the public’s interest to know, it’s what actually happened on January 6,” he continued. “By definition, this video will reveal it. It’s impossible for me to understand why any honest person would be bothered by that.

It's a "national security risk" .. The democrats' Jan 6 committee were very careful about the angles in the footage they showed to the public so as not to show the layout of the capitol grounds and building so we don't have a repeat of crazy right wing inserectionists learn how to breach security and enter the building

A group of news organizations on Friday asked House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to share thousands of hours of security footage from Jan. 6 after Fox News host Tucker Carlson said this week that he has been given access to about 44,000 hours of video from the attack on the Capitol.

"We understand that, in your capacity as Speaker of the House of Representatives, you recently provided the Tucker Carlson Tonight television program with access to certain Congressional records — specifically, previously unavailable video footage from the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021," wrote Laura Handman, a lawyer representing the media outlets. "We write to request that the News Organizations be granted access to these materials."

The news outlets requesting access include The Associated Press; NBC News, MSNBC, CNBC and Noticias Telemundo; The New York Times; and The Washington Post.

"There is no basis for further delaying granting this access — to these News Organizations or any other media outlets that make similar requests," Handman said.

McCarthy’s office has not responded to multiple inquiries from NBC News about access to the footage, but the California Republican defended his decision in a brief interview with The New York Times on Wednesday, saying, "I was asked in the press about these tapes, and I said they do belong to the American public. I think sunshine lets everybody make their own judgment."

McCarthy last year told the head of the Jan. 6 committee — a panel he opposed — that it was “imperative that all the information collected [from the probe] be preserved not just for institutional prerogatives but for transparency to the American people.”

On his primetime show Monday, Carlson said, "We believe we have secured the right to see whatever we want to see," adding that he planned to bring viewers findings from the footage next week.

McCarthy has been widely criticized by Democrats following Carlson's announcement.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York said Wednesday that McCarthy's reported decision to surrender the footage “poses grave security risks” to lawmakers and Capitol staff.

Schumer added that public release of the footage "would compromise the safety of the Legislative Branch and allow those who want to commit another attack to learn how Congress is safeguarded."

Now, Carlson said that the footage will be released next week. Carlson stated that there was never any legitimate reason for this footage to remain secret, saying, “We think people, in a democracy, should be allowed to see what their government is doing, and get as much evidence as they can.”

“They are lying, and we know that because we’ve been looking at the tape.” Carlson continued, “We’re going to bring you information on the tape and some of it next week, and we think it’s going to be really really interesting.”

Never-before-seen bombshell video of January 6 shows Jacob Chansley, the QAnon Shaman, being escorted through the Capitol by police the entire time that he was in the building. The footage was obtained and aired by Tucker Carlson on his primetime show.

Tucker said that Chansley had been described as a “dangerous conspiracy theorist dressed in outlandish costume who led the violent insurrection to overthrow American democracy for these crimes.”

“Chansley was sentenced to nearly four years in prison,” he added. “Far more time than many violent criminals now receive.”

“What did Jacob Chanley do to receive this punishment?” he continued. “To this day, there is dispute over how Chanley got into the Capitol building, but according to our review of the internal surveillance video, it is very clear what happened once he got inside.”

This video alone has the potential to flip the January 6 narrative on its head with the American public. The Democratic Party and its media associates obviously misled the country on what happened during the Capitol Riots. This bombshell is just the first of many more to come.

INSURRECTION – REALLY?

At some point English speaking peoples will have to come to the realization that the word ‘violence’ has been stretched and abused to the point of uselessness – as it can mean anything from an unwelcome hello and an ardent gust of wind to a brutish appearance. The word has become so relevant as to become irrelevant without corroborating circumstance.

If you are wondering, I’m trying to figure out how being unwelcome somewhere equates to an act of violence – go figure? And why is the nation’s capital building flippantly called “The Peoples House” when it surreptitiously isn’t?

MAGA Republicans are just as much American citizens Nancy Palosi and Chuck Schummer ever will be. Americanism is about equality of ALL individual citizens. What Americanism IS NOT ABOUT is anyone being superior to another. A representative (elected or no) is just that, a representative of their constituents whether they be MAGA Republicans or not. They are no more a representative than a person’s attorney is – they’ve been hired to perform a service, not to ascend to some royal ruling class.

My understanding is that the J6 protesters were unarmed in their entirety. And the only shots fired were by by a Capital security guard who murdered a female veteran without justification.

When ‘violence’ is reduced to {FEELING} as it has with so called law enforcement and public protesting it’s lost it’s true meaning – it’s been subverted for the express purpose of lauding supposed superiority and ruler-ship over the unclean masses that are in reality fellow citizens..

Their TV series (from what i hear) was a dud... It wasn't the huge success they'd hoped for.. It seemed people were just tired of listening to them rant about Jan 6 at every possible opportunity and many didn't bother to tune in... But with Carson's footage contradicting some of their incessant narratives and now their claim that they didn't have access to it, their entire 2 years of bullshit has backfired and blown up in their face
