Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson told lawmakers during a closed-door session that the whistleblower, identified as a CIA intelligence officer, admitted he was a registered Democrat and at some point had ties to one of the candidates — a development first reported by The Washington Examiner and confirmed by Axios.
“The IG said the whistleblower had a professional relationship with one of the 2020 candidates,”

So what-- He's not hiding it..
He is a CIA Intelligence Officer,, he worked with many on both sides of the fence..
That in no way disqualifies him, and the IG has checked out/investigated and interviewed others and found he is very creditable.

He doesn't stand alone.

Trump threw the dems a curve when he immediately released the transcript of the call as well as the complaint ..They didn't expect that and figured they had plenty of time to shovel their bullshit through their media and repeatedly force feed their narrative down the collective throat of the public before any pesky contradictions or facts could interrupt ...Pelosi jumped the gun when she publicly announced the inquiry

trump released a partial readout of the transcript the white house’s version of the call, which may omit certain sections.

the transcript won’t really prove anything as it isn’t a verbatim account of their call, and a whistleblower’s complaint would be a more a useful document.

If there was any controversy whatsoever about any portion of the conversation being omitted in the transcript, the dems would be screeching about it with their maximum lung capacity .. The whistleblower complaint (in case you're not aware) was also released shortly after the transcript, which also has no evidence of pressure on the Ukrainian, no mention of military aid being held, and no quid pro quo .. It cites numerous references to legal statutes and was obviously written by a lawyer(s) and is still entirely based on hearsay/he said she said ..

.Also it's still very unclear as to when the whistleblower form was ALTERED to allow hearsay evidence ...I'll mention too that the whistleblower lied or neglected to answer two significant questions on the form ...Adam Schiff was caught in a lie trying to cover up that fact
