Subject: 5 Lies Trump Told About The Environment In One 20-Minute Speech Wed Sep 09, 2020 1:10 am
9-8-2020
Here Are 5 Lies Trump Told About The Environment In One 20-Minute Speech The greenwashing continues. Don’t fall for it.
President Donald Trump continues to greenwash his dismal environmental record ahead of the 2020 presidential election, most recently with a speech Tuesday in Jupiter, Florida, touting his “environmental accomplishments.”
Trump seems to have forgotten he’s withdrawing the U.S. from the Paris climate agreement, has relaxed restrictions on air pollution, has removed climate change from a list of national security threats and has said he doesn’t believe in global warming. In March.
The Environmental Protection Agency finalized a rollback of a 2012 auto emissions regulation, and last month it opened up Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for oil and gas drilling.
All told, Trump has pledged to reverse 100 environmental rules.
Here are some of his more galling claims from the speech ― and why they’re wrong:
1. Trump said presidential rival Joe Biden’s environmental plan would “give a free pass to the world’s worst foreign polluters, like China, Russia, India, and many others. They don’t have to clean up their lands, but we have to clean up ours.”
*Biden’s environmental plan repeatedly calls out China and Russia, accusing China of gaming the system by becoming a “destination economy for polluters” and “outsourcing carbon pollution” by subsidizing coal exports.
Under Trump, America has lost much of its climate credibility on the global stage, effectively giving foreign polluters exactly that “free pass” Trump claims to worry about. “China, Russia, India and many others” aren’t looking for guidance from the U.S. climate denier in chief.
It’s worth noting that China is on track to meet its goals in the Paris Agreement ― the one the U.S. is formally withdrawing from at Trump’s direction ― though it does remain the world’s biggest CO₂ emitter.
2. He claimed “we have the cleanest air we’ve ever had in this county, let’s say over the last 40 years, because I assume 200 years ago it was probably better,” and that the U.S. currently has “the cleanest air we’ve ever had over a 40-year period.”
* The Trump administration has repeatedly attempted to roll back, weaken and undermine the 1970 Clean Air Act, which is responsible for what the American Lung Association labeled a decades-long “slow but steady improvement” in the nation’s air quality.
According to the American Lung Association, the EPA under Trump has actively sought to loosen restrictions on hazardous air pollutants including arsenic, CO₂, hydrogen sulfide and mercury, and has taken steps to roll back methane emission standards for the oil and gas industry.
In 2018, EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler, a formal coal lobbyist, disbanded the air quality panel tasked with advising on airborne particulate matter. He replaced the committee members with paid consultants linked to the fossil fuel, tobacco and pharmaceutical industries.
3. Trump said he’s been told he “‘is the great environmentalist.’ ... And I am. I believe strongly.” He also said his aides told him: “This will make you the number one environmental president since Teddy Roosevelt.”
* Environmentalists, outdoor sporting groups and even a great-grandson of Roosevelt himself have blasted the Trump administration for comparing itself to the 26th president.
Roosevelt protected more than 230 million acres of federal land by establishing five national parks, 18 national monuments and dozens of national forests and wildlife refuges. The Trump administration has protected fewer than 37,000 acres via executive action.
Trump is the most anti-conservation president in U.S. history, having worked to weaken safeguards for nearly 35 million acres — nearly 1,000 times more than has been protected.
4. He claimed his administration had “recovered more endangered or threatened species” than any other administration during its first term.
* The Trump administration has repeatedly rolled back protections under the Endangered Species Act, a key legal pillar of protections for imperiled species.
5. Trump said he’s committed to ensuring that the United States has “the cleanest air and cleanest water on Earth.”
* We’ve addressed Trump’s claim of the “cleanest air.” He’s also rolled back clean water protections.
In 2019, his administration reversed a 2015 rule that put limits on the types of toxic chemicals that could be used near various bodies of water. The president’s personal business directly benefited from the overhaul, as it eased restrictions on pesticide and fertilizer use at golf courses.
At the same time, the new rules also eliminated protections for smaller headwaters that had been protected for decades.
According to Politico, the rules eliminated protection for more than half of the country’s wetlands and millions of miles of streams.

A clip showing something flying out of Trump’s nose got the Internet’s attention. Twitter guessed it was Adderall, a drug designed to improve hyperactivity, impulsive behavior, and attention span..
Trump snorted some Adderall or Cocaine before his press conference, and some of it flew out of his nose!

Subject: trump BIGLY Lied to Michigan Voters - Sat Sep 12, 2020 5:48 pm

Trump brags about creating auto factories in Michigan that don't exist
He falsely told Michigan voters he'd brought their state 'so many damn car plants.'
Donald Trump told Michigan voters on Thursday that they'd "better vote for him" because of all the new automobile manufacturing facilities he has brought the state.
"I got you so many damn car plants," Trump told a rally in Freeland. "I got you a lot of plants! Is that right? Have you seen what we're doing here? All the plants that have been built, are being built, and what about the plants that are being expanded? They don't want to give you credit for that. They're just expanding."
But according to the Detroit Free Press, just one new major assembly factory has been announced in Michigan since Trump took office.
Over that time, the paper noted, General Motors has announced several plants will become idle.
On Thursday, the Washington Post fact-checked previous recent claims by Trump that he has created "many plants" in Michigan, Ohio, South Carolina, North Carolina, and other places and they have expanded "at a level that we've never seen before."
The claim received a "Four Pinocchios" rating, based on a de minimis number of new plants in those states and a decline in automobile manufacturing investment, compared to the later Obama-Biden years.
"In total, there were over $64.2 billion in automaker manufacturing investment announcements in the United States between 2013-2016 (previous three-year period) vs. $40.0B between 2017-2020," Kristin Dziczek, vice president of the Center for Automotive Research, told the paper.
Trump also claimed in the same speech on Thursday that "after the last administration nearly killed the U.S. auto industry," he had "saved" it.
The Obama-Biden administration famously helped save Michigan's auto industry with a bailout of the sector. Trump's 2012 endorsed candidate, Mitt Romney, opposed the bailout, instead proposing to "Let Detroit Go Bankrupt."
In recent months, Trump has frequently claimed to have restored "our nation's manufacturing," falsely suggesting a massive renaissance.
But the growth has mostly been confined to a few industries like — Silicon Valley's technology sector — while factory jobs in states like Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin were on the decline, even before the coronavirus pandemic.
Overall, Trump created fewer jobs in each of his first three years than the Obama-Biden administration crated in any of their final three years.
Forbes noted in February that Obama added more than 3 million new jobs in 2014, 2.72 million in 2015, and more than 2.34 million in 2016, for a net eight-year total of about 11.6 million jobs gained. Trump's best year — 2018 — saw only about 2.31 million jobs created.
With massive layoffs from the pandemic, Trump has actually lost a net 4.7 million jobs since taking office.

Subject: Trump Rally Not Aired by-MSNBC,CNN,FOX,C-SPAN Sat Sep 12, 2020 10:12 pm
9-12-2020 Tonight- Trump fact-checked as ‘quite delusional’ at rally that Fox News did not even air.
President Donald Trump was visibly agitated during a Saturday evening campaign rally outside Reno, Nevada.
Trump bragged about having a huge crowd in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic. Neither MSNBC, CNN nor Fox News aired the rally live. In fact, C-SPAN didn’t even air it live.
Trump began by lashing out at Gov. Steve Sisolak (D-NV), but veteran Nevada political reporter Jon Ralson said was “pure fiction” and “delusional.”
Jon Ralston @RalstonReports · 1h "Your governor tried to stop us," Trump says over and over again.
@GovSisolak did nothing to try to stop Trump. His campaign canceled the rallies, which violated state and WH guidelines on gatherings.
Reno airport said no-go, Vegas airport never contacted.Pure fiction.
Jon Ralston @RalstonReports 1h Trump just said Sisolak is a "political hack" who called venues to get the rally canceled and controls "millions of ballots."
1. No evidence of any calls. 2. There are 1.7 million active voters in NV.
Trump is quite delusional tonight already.

Trump suggests he would 'negotiate' a third term as president because he is 'probably entitled' to it Business Insider insider@insider.com (Connor Perrett) ,Business Insider • September 13, 2020
President Donald Trump on Saturday once more suggested he would spend three terms — 12 years — in office, claiming that he was "probably entitled" to an extra term in office.
Throughout his presidency, Trump has sometimes suggested he would spend more than two terms in office.
The 22nd Amendment, which was ratified in 1951, established that a president may not serve more than two terms.
Prior to the ratification of the 22nd Amendment, FDR was elected to serve four terms in office, serving 12 years as president before his death in 1945.
President Donald Trump on Saturday once again suggested interest in serving three terms in office, claiming that he was "probably entitled" to an additional four years following a hypothetical second term at a campaign event in Nevada.
"And 52 days from now we're going to win Nevada, and we're gonna win four more years in the White House," Trump told the mostly maskless, non-socially distant crowd of his supporters on Saturday. "And then after that, we'll negotiate, right? Because we're probably — based on the way we were treated — we are probably entitled to another four after that."
Trump has often claimed he has been treated unfairly in comparison to his predecessors, often times pointing to the Russian election interference probe and his impeachment. Throughout his first term as president, Trump has also frequently floated the idea that he will attempt to serve more than two terms in office.
In August, at a rally in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the president similarly suggested he was owed a third presidential term.
"We are going to win four more years," Trump said last month, according to Yahoo News. "And then after that, we'll go for another four years because they spied on my campaign. We should get a redo of four years."
In November 2018, Trump told Fox News' Chris Wallace that he would not seek a constitutional amendment to permit him to serve more than two terms in office. He made the clarification after he had praised Chinese President Xi Jinping's abolishment of presidential term limits.
"He's now president for life. President for life. No, he's great." Trump said in March 2018. "And look, he was able to do that. I think it's great. Maybe we'll have to give that a shot someday."
"I think the eight-year limit is a good thing, not a bad thing," Trump later told Wallace in 2018, although he has continued to suggest he would seek a third term in the time that has followed.
In June 2019, Trump told "Meet the Press" moderator Chuck Todd that he is only joking when he says he will try to serve more than two terms as president.
Presidents George Washington and Thomas Jefferson established an unofficial two-term limit, although President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was elected to the office four times, in 1932, 1936, 1940, and 1944, serving 12 years as president before his death, as History.com noted. In February 1951, the 22nd Amendment was ratified, limiting American presidents to serving two terms in office.

Ex-Pence aide praised for putting ‘country over party’ and backing Biden: ‘Badass patriot’
OliviaTroye was Pence's lead staffer on COVID. "When we were in a task force meeting, the president said, 'maybe this COVID thing is a good thing... I don't have to shake hands with these disgusting people.'" He was talking about his own supporters.
When Trump attended one meeting, Olivia Troye said, he spoke for 45 minutes about how poorly he was being treated by certain personalities on Fox News.
"He spent more time about who was going to call Fox and yell at them to set them straight than he did on the virus.
Olivia Troye, VP Pence's lead staffer on the COVID task force, resigned two months ago. Now she speaks out: "No matter how hard you worked...the president was going to do something detrimental to keeping Americans safe. It was awful. It was terrifying."

Trump promises America we will never see him again if Biden wins.
President Donald Trump insisted he would withdraw from public life should he lose the 2020 presidential election.
Trump, who has been a public figure since he started appearing in tabloid stories in the 1980s, made the promise during a campaign rally North Carolina on Saturday.
“If I lose to him, I don’t know what I’m going to do, I will never speak to you again, you’ll never see me,” he vowed.
