((((this is overkill, in my astute opinion)))).
NBA to paint ‘Black Lives Matter’ on basketball courts — and the WNBA may go even further: ESPN
The top two professional basketball leagues are planning to use their courts to call for anti-racism reform, according to a new report.
“The NBA is planning to paint ‘Black Lives Matter’ on the court inside both sidelines in all three arenas it will use at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, when it resumes the 2019-20 season late next month,” ESPN reported Monday, citing “league sources.”
“The WNBA is also discussing painting ‘Black Lives Matter’ on the court when it begins its abbreviated 2020 season at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, sources said. Sources also said some WNBA players have suggested in talks with league higher-ups that players wear shooting shirts with ‘Say Her Name’ written on them in an attempt to keep attention on female victims of police brutality — including Breonna Taylor, who was shot and killed by police in her home in Louisville, Kentucky, in March,” ESPN reported.
The moves could put the leagues at odds with President Donald Trump, who has repeatedly complained about calls for police reform during sporting events.
“Players have insisted the fight for racial equality and social justice be a central part of the NBA’s return to play and the WNBA’s new season.
Several NBA players considered skipping the NBA’s Orlando resumption to focus on social justice issues,” ESPN explained. “Several WNBA players, including Renee Montgomery of the Atlanta Dream and Natasha Cloud of the Washington Mystics, are sitting out the upcoming WNBA season to focus on social justice.”

Appellate Judge says Mary Trump’s tell-all book can be released
Yesterday, a judge paused Mary Trump’s tell-all book on President Donald Trump and his family, but Wednesday evening, a New York appellate judge ruled that Simon & Schuster could move forward with releasing the book.
According to the New York Times, Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man will be released in four weeks, on schedule.
“Justice Alan Scheinkman’s ruling, however, put off addressing a central aspect of the bitter spat about the manuscript that has been roiling all month in the Trump family: whether, by writing the book, Ms. Trump violated a confidentiality agreement put in place nearly 20 years ago after a struggle over the will of her grandfather, Fred Trump Sr., Donald Trump’s father,” the report said.
The book is already No. 1 on Amazon, dethroning John Bolton, who originally held the top spot. |

| Mother Of US Marine Claims Son Told Her Fox News Plays On Every TV On Base, Not Allowed To Change The Channel
After multiple reports emerged recently showing Donald Trump’s popularity among members of the military falling precipitously, it was only a matter of time before we found out that someone would take drastic measures to try and remedy that situation.
Usually, something like that comes in the form of a directive from the top that makes its way down through the ranks, and this appears to be no different — ailing support for the Commander in Chief could cause massive morale issues among not just the rank and file, but officers and even top brass, as each level of the military has its own reason for the way they feel about the President, from lying about being the first to give them a raise in decades to ignoring actionable intelligence or information counter to Trump policies.
So what could, say, a general friendly to the President do to fix Trump’s battered image among soldiers and officers? Well, he could make sure that they’re not exposed to any more information that would further taint their perceptions of Trump — and that means no real reporting on anything bad about the President.
And if you want nothing but good news about Donald Trump, there’s only one station you can turn to: Fox News.
In fact, that’s what one Marine mom says is exactly the case where her son is stationed:
This really isn’t unheard of even in civilian places. In the town I just moved away from earlier this year, the bar with the best fish and chips in town also had a Fox-at-all-times policy, and I learned to take my orders to go pretty quickly. Hospitals, car repair shops, hotels — all of them can be run by folks afraid of hearing real news, and I’ve started just finding places that don’t show it on their televisions or even asking management if I can change the channel.
But it sure didn’t seem like the Marine mom’s story was an isolated one:
This is exactly what Marine mom fears — brainwashing. And it’s unacceptable.
