Online conspiracy theorists are convinced that Senator John Fetterman has been replaced with a body double.
One factor fueling this bizarre belief is that Fetterman has made major strides since suffering a stroke in spring 2022. He continued to campaign, even though many Republicans accused him of being unfit to serve. His progress is now being weaponized against him.
In addition to his improved speech abilities, many conspiracists cite photos that they claim shows Fetterman’s distinctive forearm tattoos have disappeared. It probably has nothing to do with the fact that the before and after photos show completely different angles of Fetterman’s arms.
Obviously, there is no proof that Fetterman has been replaced. As one online jokester pointed out, the senator’s sheer size alone is enough to make it extremely difficult to find a convincing body double.
Fetterman has responded to the conspiracy in his classic sarcastic fashion. If anything, his tweets should prove he’s still the same man. Fetterman’s social media presence continues to be (as the kids say) hot fire.
Replacing public figures with body doubles is a popular theory among QAnon followers. The QAnon conspiracy theory says that the global elite are committing pedophilia and satanic rituals and the only person who can stop them is Donald Trump. Many followers believe that powerful people such as Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton have already been executed and replaced with body doubles.
If that is the case, then it would seem that not even Trump’s inner circle is safe. Throughout both of Trump’s campaigns and his entire time at the White House, conspiracy theorists insisted that his wife, Melania, had also been replaced with a body double. (Although in her case, it was because people suspected she had chosen to have a body double because she didn’t want to be around her husband.)
Yup, just like Jaime Foxx who came back from 'being sick' with his skull not as wide as it was before, that body double was really obvious. This guy though does looks like Fetterman but not totally, I don't remember his shoulders drooping like that and while the face is very close something's still off. And then it looks like his head is scaled-down compared to the rest of his body almost like it was chopped in. Getting the two to look the appropriate size to each other is hard to chop and make it look just right. Don't know why, but it is.
But of course I wasn't in the habit of watching or listening to Fetterman so my memories are the five second news clips I saw before changing the channel. I'd investigate further into it but that means I'd have to look at pictures of him so, uh, I'll pass.

If you look up 'fractured larynx' you find this -
"A fractured larynx occurs when a direct impact causes a break in the voice box. This is a rare but potentially life-threatening injury".
Direct impact - when did this happen? I didn't hear about him being in an accident or taking a fall... did somebody punch him in the throat?

The Federal Emergency Management Agency sent out an electronic warning tone to every TV, radio and cellphone in the U.S. on Wednesday Oct, 4. The Nationwide Emergency Alert Test was part of a routine procedure to ensure the alert system is still an effective way to warn Americans about emergencies.
The national practice alert was the first sent out since 2018.
The alert test went out two minutes earlier than expected and lasted approximately one minute.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency uses alerts to warn Americans about emergencies, natural catastrophes, attacks and accidents at the national level.
But the test is also causing some online conspiracy theories. Here's what you need to know:
What do conspiracy theories claim?
QAnon influencers are taking to the internet to spread misinformation about the emergency alert. Some claim the alert will “activate” deadly diseases within vaccinated people—warning followers to turn off their phones. Such claims have been seen by thousands of people on X, formerly known as Twitter.
According to the Associated Press, conspiracy theorists are also spreading debunked information that the emergency broadcast system test is sending signals to phones that activate nanoparticles such as graphene oxide that have been introduced into people’s bodies.
Conspiracy theories debunked
Jeremy Edwards, press secretary and deputy director of public affairs at FEMA said there are no known harmful health effects from the signal. The claims bring back long-debunked conspiracy theories about the contents of the COVID-19 vaccine. The alert signal is a routine practice from FEMA and the signal used is the same familiar tone that has been used since the 1960's.
Another online conspiracy claimed that the alert could somehow activate viruses in people who have been vaccinated, turning them into zombies.
"I received it on my phone and saw it on the TV. And I can confirm to you that I am not a zombie," said Edwards.

This is being done because "There is presently an acute and immediate need to construct physical barriers and roads in the vicinity of the border of the United States in order to prevent unlawful entries into the United States in the project areas" according to current DHS secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.

Interesting thread at TBC, people seem to be noticing their electronic devices acting 'quirky' ever since that emergency signal was sent out on October 4th. Phones, televisions, computers, they all seem to be performing strangely and having glitches... I've noticed it too as I note in the thread -

Elon Musk has restored the X account of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, pointing to a poll on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter that came out in favor of the Infowars host who repeatedly called the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting a hoax.
It poses new uncertainty for advertisers, who have fled X over concerns about hate speech appearing alongside their ads, and is the latest divisive public personality to get back their banned account.
Musk posted a poll on Saturday asking if Jones should be reinstated, with the results showing 70% of those who responded in favor. Early Sunday, Musk tweeted, "The people have spoken and so it shall be."
A few hours later, Jones' posts were visible again and he retweeted a post about his video game. He and his Infowars show had been permanently banned in 2018 for abusive behavior.
